An exciting PRIVATE TOUR that’s fun for all ages! Explore the rural villages around Hoi An on a unique route that takes you off the beaten path to meet locals & experience their daily lives.
Start your adventure on Cam Kim Island, where you’ll make rice papers & snacks to enjoy. Then, visit another local family to learn the art of incense stick making & try it yourself. After that, head to a peaceful village to weave vibrant bed mats from river reeds.
Drive through beautiful rural villages & later stop at a charming coffee shop for refreshments. Then, cross over the stunning views bridge & enjoy a relaxing basket boat ride under the Water Coconut Forest. Zigzag through the fish & shrimp farms and lush rice paddies filled with buffalo and cows, we'll finally explore Tra Que Vegetable Village, surrounded by fragrant herbs.
The tour lasts 4 hours without a meal, or 5 hours with a tasty meal. Choose your vehicle: US military jeep/ USSR army jeep/ Modern car.

What To Expect
If you're staying in Hoi An, we'll pick you up directly from your hotel. For guests at hotels in Da Nang, Hoiana Resort and Golf, or VinPearl Resort and Golf South Hoi An, please meet us at our office to start the tour. Contact us via call or WhatsApp, and we'll assist you in arranging a private car transfer for a small surcharge.
Cam Kim Island
Making rice papers and local snacks: Embark on a fun journey from Hoi An, crossing the scenic Thu Bon River to the peaceful Cam Kim Island. Here, you'll meet a delightful 65-year-old couple, masters of traditional rice-making. Roll up your sleeves and help grind rice, then use the rice milk to craft your own rice paper and tasty local snacks. Once the work’s done, enjoy the fruits of your labor, munching on the treats you just made! As you relax, dive into the fascinating daily lives of the islanders and learn about their rich culture and traditions. It’s a hands-on experience with a heartwarming personal touch you won’t forget!

5.00This tour was a great view into life outside the big cities. Our guide Trang was fantastic! She easily answered all of our questions about life in the villages and details of life in general in Vietnam. Her English language skills were very good and she was easy to understand. The tour was a good mix of activities. We would highly recommend this tour. Our driver was also very competent and professional. Both our tour guide and driver were very friendly and engaging.

5.00Trang and the driver of the USA jeep met us at the hotel at the start of this lovely morning. We thoroughly enjoyed meeting people who live and work in the area where Trang translated perfectly for us. We were able to attempt making rice paper, incense and sleeping mats for ourselves (with the local people’s help); we had a go at wood carving, saw how Vietnamese coffee is made and were taken down the river in a basket boat where we were shown the coconut trees. We were able to buy items if we wanted, but no pressure was put on us at all. We had a fun filled educational day which was topped off with a lovely Vietnamese lunch. We’d highly recommend this tour! Thank you Trang - it was lovely meeting you and Laam.

5.00This was a great day! We got to experience so many things in half a day! Everyone was super friendly and receptive to having tourist come to their homes! Our Guide, Trang, was absolutely wonderful. She was a wealth of information and kind, friendly and helpful. I would 100% recommend this tour.

5.00This is an experience, not just a tour. It is a fantastic way to see traditional village life and the opportunity to try the skills ourselves was both fun and eye-opening. Thuan is an excellent tour guide: the places visited are thoughtfully curated, he is enthusiastic about sharing his local area with tourists but in a way that also supports the villagers, the coffee and lunch stops are superb and could not be more fresh (drinking coffee from beans roasted on site, food straight from the garden). And he took and later sent a heap of photos and videos, which allowed us to be truly immersed in the experience, rather than see through our cameras. Our drivers, Long and Ky, were safe and skilful in manoeuvring the narrow lanes. This day tour was a highlight of our time in Vietnam and I highly recommend it to travellers looking for an enjoyable, authentic, and informative experience.

5.00Experience of a lifetime to see the rural life of Vietnamese citizens in Hoi an village. Got to see how they make local incense, rice crackers, mats, coffee, and the vegetable farm. Got to ride in a coconut basket boat and sail through the coconut lagoon. Our guide is Kha, very knowledgeable about the area and easy to talk to. We used a military jeep and i enjoyed the ride throughout. A must experience when visiting the area

5.00Fantastic day out in a US old army jeep Amazing tour guide Quynh, her English is impeccable and the two drivers were excellent We saw lovely countryside around Hoi An and visited lots of interesting places including how to make rice cakes, incense sticks and reed mats. Overall a great experience.Great fun.

5.00We had an amazing experience on this tour! Henry was an outstanding guide – extremely informative, kind, and engaging throughout the entire trip. He shared so many interesting facts and stories and made everything easy to understand and enjoyable. Our driver, Dragon, was also excellent – very professional and made us feel completely safe and comfortable the whole time. The tour took us to fantastic places, perfectly chosen, and everything was well organized. We truly felt we got the most out of the experience.
