What To Expect
Start your day sailing from Kaiteriteri. Meet at ticket booth opposite central Kaiteriteri Beach at 9:30 am departing on your sailing adventure at 10 am. Soak up the scenery along the stunning coastline, passing the iconic Split Apple Rock and the playful NZ Fur Seals at Adele Island. Take in the golden beaches, bays, islands and birdsong arriving at Anchorage Bay for a one hour lunch stop with free time to explore the beach while you enjoy a packed picnic lunch (included). Depart Anchorage and sail a little further into The Park before turning and catching the afternoon sea breeze back to Kaiteriteri. Learn about the Abel Tasman National Park's history, features, marine life, flora and fauna from your knowledgeable skipper. A packed picnic lunch, tea/coffee and juice all included. Free transfers between Marahau and Kaiteriteri beach upon arrangement, please contact Abel Tasman Sailing Adventures to arrange this.

5.00Our captain Frank and crew member Grace were a remarkable tandem. Frank was an excellent guide and narrator with so much local knowledge and a cheerful sense of humour. Grace was super professional and provided snacks and tea for everyone. She also made time to have conversations with different passengers, take pictures for them and even tell stories to a child onboard. Both Frank and Grace made us appreciate even more the impressive natural beauty of the coast and landscapes surrounding us. Frank was friendly and helpful to each and every person of our small group. He shared very interesting Maori stories that helped us understand the significance of our natural surroundings. We will definitely book this experience again in our next visit to NewZealand! 100% recommended!

5.00Our day sailing with Abel Tasman Sailing Adventures was the highlight of our trip to New Zealand. We only had one day in Abel Tasman and we were concerned when the weather forecast just a week out showed three days full of rain but the owner encouraged us to wait and see and it turned out to be perfect. It was a very efficient way to see as much of the park as possible in a day. The catamaran-style sailboat is very stable and was very pleasant. The captain did a great job of pointing out places of interest, wildlife like seals, and explaining the history and cultural significance of the bays we visited. I was only disappointed that we didn’t have more time.

5.00We had a wonderful time on the water. The weather was cool, but sunny. Our Captain, Mac, made the sail interesting. He sailed whenever possible rather than motoring and we liked that. The packed lunch was good as well.
On our doorstep, an amazing experience.

5.00We had a beautiful day weather wise, and an amazing trip, felt like millionaires sailing in such beautiful surroundings and the boat was great, could sit down the back, and chat with the staff, or sit on the bow in the sun and breeze. Staff had great knowledge on the area too to impart. Was just a fantastic day out, made better by great staff, a beautiful boat, scenery to die for, and weather. Would highly recommend when season starts again.
