Enjoy a caviar guided-tour of a sturgeon fish-farm and have a caviar tasting at the Estate, in Neuvic, Dordogne. At the end of the tour we prupose an unusual experience, you can tring to catch a sturgeon into the visitor pool (only 4 volunteers). The guide teach you. The tour lasts approximately 1 hour and 30 min and is followed by the tasting. During the tasting, you will be able to try
2 different caviar Baeri and Oscietra, caviar butter, and sturgeon rillettes made at the Estate you just visited. Those dishes are served with a glass of sparkling wine.

What To Expect
Caviar de Neuvic
Start your tour in the morning or in the afternoon in a central place in Neuvic in Dordogne. You will begin with the visit of the farm where you will see how the sturgeons are bred and how the professionals develop the caviar at our Estate. The experienced guide will tell you all you need to know about the caviar production, the type of fish and the making process. Naturally, your guide will gladly answer all your questions regarding the farm, and the caviar. The guide prupose you to come into a visitor pool where you can live an original experience: We can to equip you with a wader and to come into this pool to trying to catch a sturgeon by hand. To immortalize your visit, you will be able to take all the pictures of the estate. After the visit of the estate, it is time to start your initiation tasting. To become more familiar with caviar, this tasting includes 1 toast of sturgeon rillettes, 1 toast of caviar butter, 1 spoon of caviar Signature, 1 spoon of caviar Oscietra, all served with a glass of sparkling wine. After this tour, you will become a caviar expert.

2.00It was a great disappointment! First, the location is very difficult to find! When we booked the we got a confirmation but there was no address on it. Hardly found on the website either! Along the road, no sign to it. So we arrived with a fifteen minute delay. The guide told us « you didn't miss anything » We did a walk along the river « l’Isle » to arrive at a basin in which large « esturgeons » sat . There some people (children) went into the water, to pick up / touch the fish. Then, back along the same path to do the tasting... 2 toasts each, one with rillettes where there was no trace of guinea pig, which were certainly lubricated several hours beforehand... as limp as anything! And then a small spoonful of caviar (the cheapest ) No visit of the 360gr. vision, nor visit of the mini farm, as indicated on the leaflet

5.00We were not sure what to expect but signed up for it and communication was very responsive and quick. Our tour guide was lovely, lots of questions from my husband but he was happy to answer them and took his time to show us around. My 9 year old was very excited to see the PRINCESS goats and also jumping into the pool to touch the sturgeons. Incredible experience! Caviar was yum with the sparking wine, it was a taster session but very satisfied!
