What To Expect
The Museum of Qin Terra-cotta Warriors and Horses
Avoid crowded tour buses and slow-moving tour groups with a handy private driver to take you to the famous Terracotta Warriors. Meet your local guide at 8am in the hotel lobby. You are expecting 7000 life size terracotta warriors all in the real battle formation, which were buried underground over 2200 years (recommended visiting time: 2.5 hours with lots of flat walking). The Museum visit includes three original pits, Pit 1 as the main force, Pit 2 as the Flexible Troupe and Pit 3 as Command Center. There is also an exhibition hall for different exhibitions from time to time. This is definitely a treasure house to study the history of the first dynasty of China, the Qin Dynasty.
Xi'an City Wall
Xi'an city wall is the only intact city wall kept in China and is now the landmark of Xi'an. With the length of 13.74 kilometers, the wall is in a rectangular shape in a perfect defense system. By ascending the wall, you can see the moat, the arrow tower and the watch towers and the water drainage system.

5.00Wendy and team did a great job on the tour. She guided me through the Terracotta Warriors site and easily handled all of my 3000 questions with grace and patience. Afterwards, we stopped at the Wild Goose Pagoda and she again impressed with her knowledge. The snow and -5 C weather, did not slow her down. Well recommended, esp if you have a group.

5.00We had a fantastic time on this tour. Wendy is a truly exceptional guide. Her knowledge and patience are amazing. She realised very quickly what we were most interested in and tailored the perfect experience for us. Our family group is hard to please (an archaeologist with a deep interest in the sites, an amateur photographer who just wants the perfect shot no matter how long it takes, and two teenagers with short attention spans) but somehow Wendy kept us all happy. We would have missed out on so many interesting details and stories if we'd tried to see the sights ourselves. Everthing from the transport to the lunch was great. Wendy even gave us some very helpful tips on other things we could do in Xi'An, and the driver was happy to drop us off where we wanted to have dinner instead of our hotel. This was by far the best tour we did in our 3 week trip to China. I highly recommend it.

5.00I chose Xi’an as the very first city of my China journey after learning it is the oldest capital in the country. I arrived with almost no background knowledge of Chinese history ancient or modern and by the end of just one day with Agnes, I felt I had gained an incredible foundation and appreciation for China’s past. Agnes is an exceptional guide. She is a former middle school teacher, which truly shows in her patience, clarity, and ability to explain complex historical topics in a way that is engaging and easy to understand. She welcomed all my questions and took the time to provide thoughtful, detailed answers. Her English is excellent and fluent, and her knowledge of every site we visited was impressive. What made the experience truly special was how natural and comfortable the tour felt. It never felt like a scripted or rushed sightseeing schedule instead, it felt like spending the day exploring Xi’an with a knowledgeable friend. Agnes was warm, attentive, and genuinely caring. She even took fantastic photos of me throughout the day, which I really appreciated. I also want to highlight our driver, Liu, who was very professional and reliable. He was always punctual, and whenever we finished a visit, he was just a phone call away and ready to pick us up promptly. This made the entire day smooth and stress-free. Agnes made my visit to Xi’an truly unforgettable. Thanks to her, this city and its history will always hold a special place in my memory. If you are visiting Xi’an, do not hesitate for a second to choose Agnes as your guide. She is phenomenal. Without a doubt, this will be one of the best tours you experience in China!

5.00Wendy was an amazing tour guide and I am so glad we decided to go with her for Xi'an. She went out of her way to help us plan our stay and even helped us buy show tickets for another day. She was very knowledgeable and taught us so much about the Terracotta Warriors and other local sites. Communication was clear and she was very flexible and went above and beyond to make sure we fitted in as much as we could in one day. We had incredible and stress-free day seeing many sites of Xi'an. Could not recommend Wendy enough. Totally worth it especially if you have kids (she was great with my teenagers) as she made our day much more efficient and enjoyable.

She definitely has the inside track on things like where to stand to get the best view and how to manage the crowds. 5.00We had an amazing time on this tour. The Terracotta warriors are an amazing experience and an absolute must see. This tour with Wendy was exceptional. My family are all ancient world nerds and we spend a long time looking at, talking about and exploring ancient and archeological sites when we visit. As a result we will often spend much longer at sites than expected. Wendy was extremely knowledgeable about the warriors. Wendy has done this tour many times and has a good plan for the visit but was also very flexible and allowed us to spend as much time as we wanted at each part of the warriors' site. Despite the time we took she never made us feel rushed and did not pressure us or hurry us along. Wendy also realised how much we were enjoying the warriors and was happy to take us to the other archeological locations (Chariots and Acrobats) instead of trying to get us to return to the Xian city sights. We finished the day with our optional sightseeing stop. Because of the time (we spent so long at the warriors) she suggested a couple of options close to the warriors and we chose the Winter Palace. These were a set of historical natural hot-spring baths and were surprisingly enjoyable. An added bonus for my family is there was no shopping stop - our entire time was spent seeing sights. Finally - the lunch restaurant Wendy suggested was delicious. I cannot recommend Wendy's tour highly enough - Wendy was excellent.

5.00Wendy was an amazing guide. Contact before the trip was quick and easy. She also went out of her way to ensure that my family got to do as much as we could with the time that we had. She even helped us arrange and buy tickets for a show not on the day of our tour. Wendy was very knowledgeable and she taught us so much about the Terracotta Warriors and the other Xian sites we saw. She kept my teenagers happy and engaged. She really went above and beyond (especially trying to find food for my kids who had dietary requirements). Our day was very enjoyable and completely stress free. I could not recommend Wendy enough if you want to see as much of Xi'an as you can in the most efficient and comfortable way - especially if you have kids.
