We went on a boat trip with Coromandel Ocean Adventures, and we had a fantastic time. The boat was very modern and extremely comfortable; beautifully designed and felt very safe. Our captain, Ritchie was great as well; he never rushed us and didn’t watch the clock. We were able to fully enjoy swimming in a truly paradise-like spot. Both of my teenagers had a wonderful time, even though they already knew the area. The family visiting us from France loved it too. It’s absolutely worth it!

This was by far the better place to go than Cathedral Cove (which was also amazing!). Ritchie and Hayden worked so well as a team to give us the best experience. Their knowledge of the history of the islands and surrounding area was impressive. They have a genuine love of nature and conservation and shared this with us as well. We snorkelled and tried Kina straight from the sea. This trip was what memories are made of and we got much more than what we paid for. Thank you Coromandel Ocean Adventures.

It was the best boat trip. We saw a pod of 100+ dolphins which was a great experience, letting nature do its thing. The water was pristine and we tried Sea Urchin Roe. Absolutely a great afternoon

Had a lovely time out on the water! We were able to see dolphins and go snorkeling. Ran into a bit of a traffic jam on the way, delaying start time and Richie was a gem and waited for everyone to arrive before starting. Would highly recommended this adventure!

Amazing trip, looking at the island geology,snorkeling and saw some manta ray. Kids loved it and was very safe. Love the shiny new boat too!

We went to the Alderman Islands and it was spectacular. It was the maiden voyage on their new boat. Richie our guide had just as much fun as us. Our 2 hour tour became almost 3 as we checked out the dolphins playing on the way out, schools of blue mau mau and ocean birds. The islands were amazing and we had close to 45 minutes swimming with snorkles with the fish in a secluded cove. Absolutely brilliant. I wanted an experiece for my birthday. Way better than an ordinary present. Will stay in my heart forever. Just do it!

Guide Richie was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. Had a keen eye for spotting schools of fish - the blue maumau was especially exciting. Navigated with confidence to and around the Alderman Islands - the rock formations, the patterns, the colours, the shapes, the heights were very impressive. On the way back we were accompanied by common dolphins that stayed with us for a good 10 minutes. To our delight, what started out as a 2 hour tour became 3 hours. A must do tour when visiting the Coromandel Peninsula.

Thanks for the awesome experience, mate! We all loved it — the grandparents, us, and the kids. It’s not often you find something that three generations genuinely enjoy together, but you pulled it off perfectly. The whole experience felt warm, welcoming, and really well organised, which made it easy and fun for everyone. We left with big smiles and great memories, and the kids haven’t stopped talking about it. We’ll definitely be back sometime, and we’ll be recommending you to friends and family as well. Cheers again for a fantastic day!

It was more than awesome, we saw amazing sites, Seals, Albertross adults and baby, various sea birds, Ray's and best of all whales. We went swimming and nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommend this trip.
