Banteay Kdei is also known as 'the citadel of monk's cells'. It is partially overgrown with towering, sinous trees. The silk cotton tree roots weaving their way through the stones of the ruined walls is a famously beautiful sight.

I had a great tour with Nick, our beloved tour guide. We were a small group, of maybe about 11 people. Nick guided us around very comfortably. I especially appreciated his stories, jokes and the effort to keep us away from the crowds. I never once felt like it was very busy in Angkor Wat, which was impressive. Nick is very knowledgeable, and very kind. He provided me in even with tips on books to read about Cambodia, when I saw he was reading a book. Kept us safe from all the monkeys and took the best pictures. Honestly probably the best tour guide I ever had after 4 months of travelling. I am so happy I booked this tour and got to understand so much more about Angkor Wat and Cambodia in general. I would 100% recommend this to anyone visiting Siem Reap. Also the driver was very friendly, drove very safely and made sure we had enough water at all times. Couldn’t have wished for anything else🙏
