Richard Nixon Presidential Library and Museum
The Richard Nixon Presidential Library and Museum is a nationally recognized research center that includes nearly 70 exhibits, including a replica of President Nixon's Oval Office, an extensive collection of memorabilia, artifacts, formal clothing and photographs of the Nixons and their children. This collection includes an assortment of bronze figures of world leaders who had important relations with Nixon as president or during his service as vice president under President Dwight D. Eisenhower. You can also see a 12-foot-high piece of the Berlin Wall. The Nixon presidential materials collection contains hundreds of thousands of photos, recordings, films, gifts as well as the U.S. government limousine used throughout Nixon’s presidency.
Behind the museum is the birthplace, which was constructed by Nixon's father using a home building kit, and restored to appear as it was in the 1910's. President Nixon and Pat Nixon are buried on the grounds, just a few feet from the birthplace.

Stayed for 4.5 hours excellent experience. Great reminders of all the positive bills that were passed during his administration

Highly recommended, it’s been on my to-do list and as a California native who travels to LA quite a bit, it was never a priority, but I wish I had gone sooner because I learned a lot. Everything was so well done and put together, the museum and the information presented was very cohesive and also engaging with some interactive displays. There’s the museum, but also his birthplace/childhood home and a marine one helicopter. There was a lot but it left me wanting to leave even more.

The museum’s public displays provide a useful overview of Nixon’s life and his presidency. I thought the material on watergate could do with some updating based on recent research. The home he was born in is on-site. The tour of the home is highly recommended. Nixon’s gravesite is near the home. The gift shop is very interesting, with books and original campaign buttons.

Average time here: 2.5-3 hrs. My friend and I spent double that - it is that good and informative. Honest exhibits to include the Watergate story. We liked it better than Reagan.

We started going to presidential libraries after visiting LBJ's and realizing how great museums they were. This one is no exception: very interesting and full of great information, archival pieces, and knowledgeable/passionate docents. The grounds themselves are pristine. Strongly recommend for anybody to visit.

the library/museum is really well done. No matter what you thought of Nixon you will enjoy seeing this history of him and his terms of government service.

Easy access, lots of walking, but benches or seats available along the exhibits. Excellent, knowledgeable docents.

Since we had purchased a membership at the Ronald Regan presidential library, it also gave us admission to a number of participating libraries for one year. The closest one was Richard Nixon's that we visited on our last drive down to SoCal. In the Oval Office recreation, people could sit behind the replica of the president's desk used and sit on the couches unlike the other presidential library oval offices we visited earlier. The presidential helicopter was closed so we could only walk around it. This was the only library (?) where a president's childhood home was also located on site. The home was still in its original location and the library built around it. The home was open only when docent available to take one through the first floor. All original furnishings were donated by the Nixon family. The second floor was not available for touring due to the narrowness of the stairwell. Per the guide, Arnold Schwarzenegger got stuck on the way up when he visited. Overall, the library was nicely designed and laid out. We enjoyed our visit.

First time at a presidential library. Serendipitous this one as i shook Nixon's hand while in high school when he visited a water treatment plant in my town. Lots of exhibits in a mixed order so not a straight chron. Do watch the intro movie. Visit the birth home. Nixon did so much more during his career than I remembered. This museum doesn't gloss over Watergate scandal, just makes it part of the story. Lovely rose gardens.
