We had the most disappointing time of our trip on board this boat. The biggest waste of $800 - Not worth the money. The staff did the bare minimum, and even though it was perfect weather, no wind and a glorious, sunny day, we stayed moored at their buoy in the harbour virtually the whole day. The staff seemed more interested relaxing around the boat and chatting with each other than about the customer experience and they couldn’t wait to pack up and get us off the boat. (They were packing up the boat around us well before the end of the trip and removing pillows and other comfort items while we were still on board) There is a map of all the spots you visit on the cruise when you get to the office, which was exciting for us, however we only left the mooring once for a brief time, then returned and stayed tied up in the harbour, with ferries and barges criss-crossing around us. It was horrible. We didn’t go to any other spots, and not because of poor weather, tides or swell, but because the crew didn’t want to do anything. The majority were young and lazy (one of the crew was 11 years old) their language talking to guests was horrific. As someone with some sailing experience, I know it was not a problem with the weather. In fact, we missed the whole sunset as the crew could not be bothered taking us to a decent spot to watch the sun go down, which was unfortunate, because it was apparently one of the most stunning sunsets the island has recently had. We would have been better off staying at our villa, which did have a good view over the ocean. Instead we stayed in the harbour. This boat is definitely not family friendly, as the day is full of just blaring loud rap music, with lots of swearing in every song (fck, pssy, b*tches, etc) and the crew were bellowing out the lyrics like drunken karaoke singers. We actually questioned whether they were drunk, watching some of the things they were doing. The toilet on the boat wasn’t working either, so our party had to sit in discomfort for 5 hours. (The smell from the toilet was horrific) We had 10 people on board, 4 of which were female, and when they asked where they could poop, the crew pointed to the back of the boat and said they can poop in the water - needless to say none of the girls went to the toilet and rushed to the toilet in the office when we got back to shore. We were provided with an email of what menu of what food would be one board, however that wasn’t at all what was provided, which was really disappointing. The menu looks great and if that’s the food that would be provided, it would be amazing, but a lot of the menu items were missing. (We were also surprised to ask to pay a further invoice for the Sprite and Cokes when we got back to the office. For such an expensive cruise, we were so surprised they did not include soft drinks.) I should say that the boat itself is beautiful. We have been on the Utopia boat in the Gili Islands twice, as it was SO good the first time. We met the owners when they were setting the business up, and they were on board with us the first time we went on the boat. We loved the luxury experience and the incredible customer experience. We were impressed with their overall philosophy for an ‘elevated customer service experience’ and they delivered on the philosophy on both trips we went on at Gili T. Although it was a more expensive option, it was worth every cent and when we saw the sign for new boat on Nusa Lembongan, we were excited to tell our whole group what a great experience we’d had (twice) on Gili T. Unfortunately that hasn’t translated across to the Nusa Lembongan experience and we were so embarrassed to have subjected the group to this terrible experience on Nusa Lembongan. You still pay a LOT for what is essentially a snorkelling cruise, but it’s on a boat with no toilet, a crew that swears and does the bare minimum, and doesn’t leave the boat mooring in the harbour, other than a quick trip out to the mouth of the channel. For comparison, we all just got back from a 3 hour private snorkelling tour that was only $250 for the same whole group and we all had such a great day - It was so much better on the regular boat charters they offer at the hotel than it was on board Nusa Lembongan Utopia. Do not waste your money.

Absolutely amazing! Couldn’t fault it. Low season so only 10 of us on the boat (they will still operate minimum 4). Wonderful staff, and the catamaran is just stunning. Food also great. Snorkelling was great with good gear and sufficient time. Absolute highlight of our holiday.

We had been on the Gili Islands tour two years ago, and we were so happy to see their new boat in Nusa Lembongan when we returned to Bali this year! We took the whole family and had an amazing time (again) The big comfty couches on the roof, the full size bar, plently of food and snacks on our trip - it was, once again, the highlight of our time on Nusa Lembongan.
