Actually i missed my boat. Arrive at the parking around 10minutes before time. Looking for a parking, then que to pay parking, walk to the terminal quite far takes few minutes. When arrived at counter, the boat already sail few minutes 😅 . But mitre peak staff really helpful. They give option to me to wait for other 2 slots even its full, maybe got people lime me didnt show up on time, i they slot me in but still more hours to wait. They give another option to me to transfer to other company. And its available to sail in 20minutes. But comes with additional charge and i chose it. No need to wait. Thanks Mitre Peak

The boat got so close to the waterfall that we got sprayed (which apparently is good luck and adds 10 years to your life). We even saw seals and a kiwi bird after the cruise. Highly recommend!

We heard that Milford Sound is the most popular tourist destination in New Zealand. And rightly so! The ferry trip was everything we had heard and hoped it would be - a lovely ride on a cold spring day, waterfalls, glacial peaks, breath-taking vistas. Every view was a stunning photograph. The drive to the fiord goes past fields of sheep (millions of new lambs - October is spring in new Zealand), ice covered mountains, winding roads up to and through a mountain tunnel on a one-lane road. TIP: You must make a reservation as soon as you book your plane trip to New Zealand. TIP: Be sure to pay attention to the parking lot machine. We drove out past it and about three weeks later a $60 parking ticket arrived in the mail.

Amazing experience! Blessed with great weather and perfect visibility. Smaller boat enabled us to get up close to cliffs, waterfalls and wildlife. Excellent commentary. Very 🫀 sed. Highly recommend.

Great boat cruise. Not as big as the other boats but allowed passengers a more intimate experience instead of obstructed views due to the volume of passengers (they all appeared to take the same route so no less of an experience) the captain was friendly, funny and informative and allowed us to spend time with some nature spotted without breaking the restrictions. A great experience in an incredible place. Just bring some form of insect repellent as there are so many sandflies!

This is the 2nd time I’ve taken family members on this cruise. The Captain took great pride and care to entertain us and explore Milford Sound. Because Mitre Peak Cruises uses smaller vessels, they are able to get up close and personal with wildlife and demonstrations. Ever ride a cruise boat bow under a waterfall? We did! See a mother fur seal with her pup? We did! How about a Crested Penguin? We saw one also! Great explanations, interesting facts and information regarding history and biodiversity. Ask and see why the color of the water changes from inside the sound and the Tasman Sea. I would highly recommend this cruise to everyone!
