Arriving by train from Guilin we were greeted at the train station by our Travel China Guide Carol and our driver Mr Han .On route to our hotel for our overnight stay Carol outlined our itinerary and gave us a detailed description of Xi’an cultural ,education, economic structure and its history. She displayed an immense knowledge of the history of Xi’an .Carol suggested for the next morning that we leave early to try and avoid the crowds for our visit to the Terracotta museum and warriors. She could not have been more correct the crowds were unbelievable. But being early we flew through security and ticket check and now knowing we were in safe hands stuck close to Carol .Inside this unbelievable attraction Carol filled us in on all the history and replied to every question.Carol guided us through each exhibition with polite professionalism, educating us along the way . This is an incredibly fantastic place and should not be overlooked. Then after a quick Chinese hamburger we were off to Big goose pagoda in the city, along the way listening and learning all the history and culture . After a fantastic day We were dropped off of at the hotel and with arrangements made for the following morning we headed out for dinner. As it appears with any Chinese city the choice is endless We settled on a recommendation of the 3 sisters dumplings restaurant which did not disappoint. The next morning Carol collected us and we went to the city park for a walk and saw how people in Xi’an rest and play. Next the city wall with bicycle ride and a visit to the Mosque and Muslim quarter. After a fantastic lunch at a restaurant chosen by Carol and with her assistance in choosing we had a fantastic lunch. As our time here comes to an end and we head to the train station to go to Beijing we leave with many fond memories and could not recommend any better guide for your time here than Carol and her driver Again on this long trip the China Travel Guide Team have excelled.Highly recommended. Thank you

After travelling from Beijing on the High Speed Train (350kph was the highest we saw) we were met by Carol who gave us a rundown of our Itinerary on the way to the hotel. Carol was super organized , spoke fantastic English and took us to the sights of Xi'an over the next two days, including the Terracotta Warriors, to the Old City Wall and the Muslim Street, probably the most interesting Street in China. The next day Carol took us to Beilin Museum, where Pam was particularly taken with the stone tablets and the Calligraphy, before taking us to the airport and assisting us to check in for our onward flight. She was very personable and easy to get on with.

Carol, our guide, made our sister trip to Xi’an so special and memorable! She was incredibly knowledgeable and interesting, answering any and all questions we had about food, culture, language, history, and more. We loved the Silk Road show she recommended – it’s quite spectacular. She went above and beyond and we want to come back!

The absolute highlight of our short trip to Xi’an was the visit of the Terracotta Army. Our guide Celine picked us up at the hotel and explained many useful things about Xi’an and the history of the army on the way out. She was also able to shine with many explanations during the visit. After and the driver dropped off at the hotel again, she showed us where we can best go to eat. All in all a great trip.

We had a great day out with Tracey and driver Mr Lee. They took us to see the terracotta army and gave us all the information we needed. Tracy's english is very good. We then went to see the small goose pagoda and then a walk on the inner city wall. We had found difficulty on getting a cab from our hostel to the station because of the short distance and Tracey came to our rescue and took us back to our hotel to collect our luggage and took us to the station for our onward journey. We were SO grateful.
