The Yosemite Valley Hiking Tour is a tour of Yosemite Valley, highlighting major points of interest and visiting popular locations you might see in social media. In addition to providing you with natural and geological history, this tour can point out some of the lesser known ‘gems’ around Yosemite Valley. This is a tour by foot; hiking and walking among the iconic and popular features within the valley. We will use the free valley shuttle as required but plan to hike/walk with your guide while avoiding the valley vehicular traffic.

What To Expect
Looking for something different then what is on our regular schedule? Choose this customizable option for a full-day adventure in Yosemite Valley. Plan to meet the guide in the morning and discuss options, which can include sightseeing and/or hiking. Highlights in Yosemite Valley can include: Yosemite Falls, Bridalveil Falls, the nose of El Capitan, Happy Isles, the famous Mist Trail, Mirror Lake, the Royal Arches, and the children always like the secret Indian Caves and/or Spider Caves. Our guides can also take you to the Old Chapel, the site of the old Pioneer Village, the Pioneer Cemetery, the famous Ahwahnee Hotel, and any other location you may desire to see. Of course other prominent geographical features such as Half Dome, North Dome, and many others will also be pointed out on this tour. Guides carry first aid kits, water purification, toilet paper (for emergencies), sunscreen and bug repellent. Please plan to bring your own lunch, snacks, water bottles, etc. Note: Should weather, fire, and/or delayed seasonal openings affect the chosen itinerary, a different one will be offered. You will be kept in contact through this process.

5.00My husband and I had a private day hiking tour with Eric. We did the 4 mile trial, panorama trail and mist trail and had the most incredible day. From the very first meeting with Eric on the day of starting our hike we knew we were in for a great day! Any question we had about Yosemite, Eric could answer!! And he filled the day with lots of fun facts and information about all kinds of things within the park. He was also great at just knowing when to let us enjoy the moment and take it in, but could also fill in the day with fun conversation too. We would never have learnt so much, or seen as much as we did in the day without him. Would absolutely recommend Eric and lasting adventures to anyone looking for a guide within Yosemite.
Summiting Half Dome with Lasting Adventures

5.00We started with lunch at Glacier Point to take in the views of where we'd be going over the next 3 days/2 nights, then started our backpacking trip at Mono Meadows, ultimately making it to Half Dome, then down the JMT to Curry Village - about 21 miles total. The trip was incredible and an experience we will all remember forever – what an achievement it felt like to backpack all that way seeing Half Dome from every angle, then ultimately getting to summit it! Our Lasting Adventure guides were fantastic from the amazing geological knowledge they provided along the way, educating us on what we were seeing and trying to figure out how Half Dome was formed until the very end, to the delicious dinners they prepared at camp. They made sure we had everything we needed as we packed our backpacks upon arrival on the first morning, and clearly kept our safety in mind as well as ensuring we all did things as they should be done in the backcountry (leave no trace). I highly recommend going on a guided trip with this organization and would do it again myself in a heartbeat.

5.00A perfect way to start our adventure in Yellowstone! Our guide Kate was knowledgeable and fun -- she adapted our trip to be the best for our family, sharing great background and history, and throwing in some adventure along the way for our teens. The number of sites you can see just within the valley is incredible, and beginning with a full day of valley exploration with a knowledgeable guide helped us plan the rest of our time in the park. Kate even texted a follow-up email with recommendations based on our time together. Amazing-- a must do!
