Located approximately 1-hour drive North-East of Melbourne, be ready to experience grade 2 white-water from the seat of a two-man inflatable kayak! Tackle Bobs rock and challenge yourself as you paddle down the raging rapids whilst negotiating the twists and turns! This white-water kayaking adventure is so much fun you will be smiling all day long! With the added convenience of being so close to Melbourne, it is the perfect day trip for some thrills and spills!
This is a fully guided kayaking adventure with all safety equipment and instructions for the paddle. We will kit you out with the latest gear and kayak and demonstrate how to paddle and steer the kayak with ease! Then it’s two fantastic adrenaline-packed hours on grade 2 rapids.

With the added convenience of being so close to Melbourne, it is a great trip for some action close to home! Supercharge your day on Melbourne’s very own Yarra river. The experienced team from the Adventure Merchants will kit you out with the latest gear and kayak and demonstrate how to paddle and steer the kayak with ease! Then it’s two fantastic adrenaline-packed hours on grade 2 rapids. Be prepared for more than a little splashing as you paddle through the rapids and breaking waves carving their way through gorges and valleys full of native bush land. The kayaks we use are very stable and forgiving so it is suitable for total beginners to navigate their way down the rapids.

5.005* Absolutely awesome. The kayaking is great fun for all ages. My 5 year old son absolutely loved it. He was able to go down some rapids, jump in the water off the boat and be on my wife’s boat and mine, with no issues. We then went caving, well my wife and I were freaking off a little our son went straight in. Once in there and just breath and you will be fine. Trust Paul and Sal they know exactly what they are doing. Thank you so much

5.00I had an absolute ball doing the White Water Kayaking! I was super nervous thinking I would not be able to do it! I didn't need to be! great guide and totally cool for beginners and the more experienced! I had no idea this existed so I am glad I found it! I will do it again! Don't think, just book! Paul thank you for a wonderful morning!

5.00Paul's confidence that we could to do it paid off. Novices negotiated the bumps of the Yarra and everyone made it back into the raft after a swim. It was an excellent way to spend a morning.

5.00My partner and I had a great time Kayaking, the rapids are well spaced out, so you have time to admire the scenery and the wildlife in between the 'faster' sections of the river - we saw a snake crossing the river, and a wombat on the bank! Paul was a great guide and made sure that everyone felt confident and comfortable with the experience :) Great day out!!

5.00Paul made everyone feel right at home from the get go. Helping those who had never been in a kayak before, soaking those who were trying to get him and making the whole experience fantastic. I'd highly recommend booking with the Adventure Merchants and I'll be back just as soon as the river boarding is running!

4.00We had a unique and totally fun time. Navigating the S bends, dodging the branches and Kayaking under the Eucalyptus tree crossing the Yarra were just a few interesting and challenging features for the day. Resting for a moment in a quiet part of the Yarra we were lucky enough to see a wombat emerge from behind a bush at the waters edge to climb effortlessly up the embankment. Then to complete the day some jumped in to enjoy the true beauty of the Yarra River. Calming - Water!!! Our Guides (Kate and Paul (I hope I have that right)) were fabulous, always looking out for us and there when we needed them.
