A visit to this historic naval aircraft carrier museum is an essential experience for people of all ages. Hangar Deck and Flight Deck tour routes will showcase Midway’s exclusive collection of more than 30 restored Navy aircraft and the incredible views of San Diego Bay.

Parking is available adjacent to Midway for an additional fee through Ace parking.
HOURS ARE 10AM TO 5PM HOWEVER LAST ADMISSION IS 4PM.

MUSEUM HOURS 10:00 - 17:00 (LAST ENTRY AT 16:00)The USS Midway was the US Navy's longest serving carrier of the 20th century (1945-1992), and the largest ship in the world for a decade, housing 4,500 crew! Now you can walk in the footsteps of 225,000 sailors on a self-guided audio tour narrated by former Midway sailors and officers. USS Midway also contains interactive exhibits and climb-aboard aircraft for all ages. Don't miss the flight simulators, gift shop and cafe. Experience what it was like to be part of a "city at sea", explore galleys, officer's country, sleeping quarters and the engine room of the first Navy ship too large for the Panama Canal! You will be amazed by the 4-acre flight deck and the 360-degree panoramic view of downtown San Diego.

5.00Everyone working in volunteering there are so incredibly sweet and helpful. It is a wonderful experience through a very difficult time in history. The aviation on board is incredible. F-18, at 14, cockpits and simulators all the way back to World War II fighters and torpedo bombers.

4.00I enjoyed this living Navy Museum very much. As a Navy Veteran, being back on an aircraft carrier was emotional and amazing. I was able to walk the spaces and get a feel for USS MIDWAY and also reminisce on my experience in service. The ship offers an excellent and free audio tour. Other amenities include food services and a shopping facility. The tour of the Bridge and the Flight Deck were the highlights of the experience. The views are unmatched.

5.00The Midway Museum is an absolutely amazing "must do" of you are in San Diego! The displays of aircraft are fantastic. The docents were all extremely friendly and helpful. Some of the docents had actually served as pilots on the Midway. There are short presentations by some of these ex-Navy pilots about the launching and landing of the aircraft on the Midway. They also shared some of their personal experiences as pilots taking off and landing on this massive ship. Handicapped accessibility to most of the museum is easy and should not be a reason not to visit. There are elevators and ramps.

5.00We made third stop on the Embarcadero the USS MIDWAY MUSEUM!!! it was the absolute perfect day to go, warm and sunny. We parked in the parking lot just to the south of ship, wanting to see the famous KISS STATUE. It's of the Kiss after WWII IN TIMES SQUARE. We walked a short 10 Minute WALK from there, past all of the various vendors and pedicabs. We're FREEDOM MEMBERS, and got in right away. I am disabled and used the elevator to get up and down in the aircraft carrier. We want to thank them for providing the service. When I got to the middle of the ship, I got a DIET COKE REFILL. I went to the overhang and rested from the heat. After about 20 Minutes, I went to the Flight Deck. I met up with my Partner, GONZALO. I watched a presentation for a few minutes, which was very interesting. I then walked down to the end by the other aircraft carriers.
