Begin at a hidden sushi restaurant where an expert itamae prepares fresh sushi before your eyes. Next, enjoy premium Wagyu yakiniku at a local Japanese BBQ restaurant near Shinjuku West or Kabuki-cho. Stroll through the neon streets of Kabuki-cho and finish at a cozy local bar or snack bar with a dessert or drink. Leave full, relaxed, and with a deeper appreciation of Tokyo’s vibrant food culture.

Here, you can opt for the Omakase style (the chef's choices), entrusting the seasoned sushi chef to serve you the season's finest creations. Navigating Shinjuku's bustling streets, filled with people, restaurants, accommodations, and attractions, finding an authentic Japanese eatery can be a challenge, even for locals.

5.00Anne was an amazing tour guide who went above and beyond on my tour! Not only did she take us to 3 excellent places (omakase, wagyu beef, taiyaki dessert) and include lots of interesting tidbits about Shinjuku, but she provided excellent conversation with the guests all night. My group on a Tuesday evening in March 2026 was 4 guests including myself -- we all got along really well and had a great time exploring Shinjuku with Anne. Furthermore, I was shocked at the AMOUNT and the QUALITY of food we received...we basically had 2 FULL sit-down dinners and a dessert. We actually declined an option for a 3rd dinner stop because we were just too full. We also received a free drink (alcoholic or non-alcoholic) at each of the dinner stops. I felt that this tour was excellent value for money considering how good of a tour guide Anne was, how logistically organized and smooth the tour progressed, and the quality and quantity foods we got to try.

5.00Aoi was our tour guide and it ended up being a tour just for us…my wife and me. What an incredible food tour! Aoi was an amazing tour guide…knowledgeable, fun, an awesome conversationalist, and very engaging. The restaurants she took us to were superb…the seafood restaurant was delicious and the beef restaurant was just as top-notch. We still rave about the delicious food! And…she topped off the evening by taking us to an ice cream shop in a high-rise tower with an amazing view. What a perfect way to end the night! And Aoi was so sweet to walk with us to the train station to make sure we got in the right train. That is customer service that is above and beyond. Aoi and this tour were amazing! Take this tour if you are able!

5.00Yuki was a fantastic guide for our Japan foodie tour! He took us to popular places like Omoide Yokocho and Golden Gai and offers his insight on the culture and history. The sushi and wagyu that we had were top notch and at restaurants that I would never have found. Great experience for anyone traveling to Tokyo!
