- Arrive 15 minutes prior to start time
- Due to the seating arrangements and limited space on the Yakatabune boat, shared tables may be required, and in accordance with Japanese cultural practices, you will need to remove your shoes to participate in this trip.
- Boarding on SINA boats 1 OR 2 will be random based on the day's traffic
- Leave a note 3 days earlier if need beef change to pork or non-strict vegetarian (remove meat, leave vegetables with sweet soy sauce soup)
- The traditional Japanese performances onboard are not in a fixed format, and different professionals may perform on a daily basis. The main image is just one of the performances
- Please provide the names of all travellers. Failure to do so will be considered a voluntary forfeiture of insurance, and we will not assume any liability in case of any emergency

1. You can cancel up to 24 hours in advance of the experience for a full refund.
2. For a full refund, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the experience’s start time.
3. If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded. 4. Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.
5. Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.
6. This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund.
7. This experience requires a minimum number of travelers. If it’s canceled because the minimum isn’t met, you’ll be offered a different date/experience or a full refund.

From the moment we stepped aboard, it felt less like a tour and more like being welcomed into someone’s home — exactly in the spirit of the traditional houseboat experience they describe. Our hostess, Karen, was absolutely wonderful. She was attentive, gracious, and warm in a way that made every guest feel genuinely cared for. Nothing felt rushed or transactional; instead, the hospitality was personal and thoughtful, as if we were guests of the family rather than customers. The entertainment by Midori was another standout. She was fun, engaging, and brought so much energy to the room. Her interaction with guests made the experience lively and joyful, and you could feel the room come together as everyone laughed and applauded. It felt intimate, authentic, and celebratory. The sukiyaki meal was comforting and delicious, perfectly suited to the cozy atmosphere of the boat, and stepping out onto the open deck to see the Rainbow Bridge and Tokyo Tower was magical — especially at night. What really sets this experience apart is the heart behind it. Their stated goal of treating guests like family isn’t just marketing language — it’s clearly something they live by. 5.00This was an amazing experience. Host, Karen, Musician, Hibiki, and the rest of the crew were wonderful and so accommodating. Karen was extremely friendly and helped take beautiful pictures. Hibiki played and sang for us throughout the trip - he is so talented and fun. The food was also very delicious. Do not hesitate to book this tour - you won’t regret it!

Hibiki's performance on the traditional Japanese instrument was also really good. You should book this for your next trip to japan!!
