**This tour does not include access to the inside of the Imperial Palace** The Imperial Palace is a popular destination for tours. The large garden area and outer walls of the old palace are open to the public. However, the inner area where the Royal family resides is private.

5.00We had a full day tour with Fummy to Senso-ji temple, Yanaka Gonzalo shopping area, Nezu shrine, Imperial Palace, Takeshita street, Shinjuku national gardens and Meiji-Jingu shrine. The tour was amazing and Fummy was knowledgeable and a great photographer.

5.00Sammy was our guide for a full day of touring the sites of Tokyo. Sammy was incredible, not only did he lead us to the best streets, shrines, temples and sights he did it with charm, humor and incredible insight into the daily Tokyo lifestyle.. if you only have one day to tour Tokyo, you want Sammy to be your guide.

5.00Our tour with Kate was fantastic! She worked really closely with us to plan out our itinerary, and gave us lots of feedback and suggestions on how to make the most of our time. Then she was kind enough to reach out on the days leading up to the tour to provide other tidbits on the airport and other travel logistics. On the day of the tour she was ready to go with lots of historical and cultural facts, and guided us through the subway system while even teaching us some of the basics. We were able to visit 7ish different places, and learned the history of each one. Kate took us to a fantastic ramen place for lunch too, so delicious. My husband and I had a wonderful time on the tour, it was such a great way to kickoff our week long trip!

5.00Koji met us at Yokohama cruise terminal and provided a fantastic experience for our first Tokyo visit. It was a good experience to have our own personal guide compared to the tours we did during the cruise. We used the Metro system to get around Tokyo which in itself was a great experience. The tour included govt. building observation deck, fish market, parks and temples. Koji is very knowledgeable and speaks very good English.

5.00We were staying in Yokohama prior to our cruise and this customizable tour is the best option to see Tokyo in a day. Our tour guide An with the Japan Guide Agency was the best. She helped us in planning to see everything we had on our list and we never felt rushed. We were able to see Imperial Palace Gardens, Tokyo Train Station, Sensoji Temple and a view of the Tokyo Skytree. An took us to a great little ramen place for lunch and then went to see Godzilla Road and the Shibuyu Crossing with views of the Tokyo skyline from an observation spot that was free and did not require us to get tickets for Shibuyu Sky. I highly recommend doing something similar and having An be your guide. You won’t be disappointed.

5.00We stayed in Yokohama prior to taking a cruise and this tour was the perfect way to see Tokyo in a day. We liked that we could pick what we wanted to see and do and with our guide’s recommendations we saw everything we wanted to. Covered a lot of ground and it was steady but didn’t feel rushed. Managed to see Tokyo Train Station, Imperial Palace East Gardens, Sensoji Temple, the best ramen noodle place for lunch, Godzilla Road and Shibuyu Scramble Crossing. Our tour guide An was amazing. Couldn’t have asked for a better guide. It was our pleasure spending the day with her and left Tokyo feeling like we saw a lot.

5.00We had an exceptional experience with An as our guide when we arrived in Yokohama and traveled onward to Tokyo. She made what could have been a complex travel day feel effortless and perfectly curated. From well before our ship even arrived, An was in constant communication, ensuring every detail was organized and that our plan to take the bullet train into Tokyo was seamless. From the moment we disembarked, everything unfolded smoothly. Once we stepped off the train, the day became an outstanding journey through Tokyo, enriched by An’s deep knowledge and engaging storytelling. She began by sharing fascinating details about the train station itself - including its history, the hotel located within the station, and the Emperor’s special entrance - setting the tone for a day filled with insight and discovery. Our visits to the Imperial Palace and gardens, Senso-ji Temple, street markets, and many other iconic sites were all brought to life through her detailed explanations and thoughtful context. One particularly memorable moment was at Shibuya Crossing, where An not only guided us through the area but also took us to a nearby building to view the intersection from the 12th floor. This elevated perspective provided a truly special way to observe the busiest intersection in the world and was an experience we would never have found on our own. Another highlight of the day was our visit to Akihabara, where An provided a world-class introduction to the importance and influence of anime on Japanese culture. Her ability to explain cultural nuance in an accessible and engaging way was impressive, and her expertise was evident on every metro ride, at every temple, and throughout the entire day. An was simply amazing - professional, knowledgeable, warm, and deeply committed to creating an outstanding experience. We are extremely grateful for her care, preparation, and passion, and we would wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone visiting Tokyo. She is truly one of the best guides we have ever had.

5.00Takako was super friendly and extraordinary helpful. My husband and I normally do things on our own but with her help to translate, identity what I wanted and needed was unavailable and took us a quarter of what we could have done on our own with Google translate and given up!! Instead we were able to find things quickly and enjoy her guidance and expertise on what we were looking at, the history and with a wonderful attitude and friendliness that worth much more than we paid for!! Therefore, I would highly recommend this tour if you want to save yourself time and effort and simply enjoy yourself!!
