Enjoy a delightful morning or evening cooking course out preparing classic Thai cuisine for friends, family and of course yourselves. Learn from the teacher as he takes you through the market and back to the comfort of his kitchen. There he will help you prepare a multiple variety of authentic Thai dishes. The courses are completely HANDS-ON, each person commands his or her own cooking station. You cannot go wrong with this interactive cooking and learning experience. Your cooking experience with THE RICE BARN THAI COOKING FARM is assured to be educational entertaining and memorable, plus our instructors will give you to confidence to create the dishes that you make us back home. 5.00Katie and Bell were phenomenal. This was some of the best food we ate in Thailand and now, we can make it at home! Stand outs were the Tom Yum soup and the Pad Thai for sure. We'd never cooked with a wok before but they made it so easy. The kitchen fairies also made sure everything was so seamless and the cooking class went by so fast! Make sure to come with an empty stomach because 5 courses was so much food :))

5.00We had a perfect experience. Even though we were the only 2 in our timeslot, the class wasn't cancelled. We had a private cooking class. Timi and Oilly were really nice, spoke really good English and answered all our questions. We learned many things. Thank you very much!

5.00We’ve had an amazing day with Katie, who guided us through the local market, explaining the herbs, vegetables, spices, and oils we would be using during our cooking class. We made a total of five dishes during our class and Katie explained the step-by-step preparations for each dish, followed by a clear cooking demonstration, before we had a go at cooking each dish ourselves. Following the cooking class, once we had eaten, we were given a tour of the farm to see where our ingredients had been grown. The whole morning was fantastic, a great experience. Thank you so much Katie, and the many staff who help to ensure the experience is the best it can be!
I highly recommend this wonderful day with Katie!

5.00Our cooking adventure with Katie was fun and fabulous. What a treat to cook outdoors at a beautiful facility with such a knowledgeable chef. Our day started with private pick up at our hotel. First stop was at a huge market where we learned about the ingredients we would be using. Then we travel to an actual cooking farm where she grew many of those ingredients herself. We made two curries, pad Thai and sticky rice. There were beverages available for purchase and water available. A photographer was on hand and took many photos and shared them via email for a very low cost. Such a wonderful day! We were then returned to our hotel.

5.00We signed up for the cooking class without many expectations, but it turned out to be one of the highlights of our entire trip to Chiang Mai. Our teacher, Katie, was absolutely fantastic — warm, knowledgeable, and a joy to learn from. The food we made was delicious, and Katie’s in-depth explanations of Thai cuisine and culture were genuinely insightful, engaging, and fascinating. We came away with a much deeper appreciation for the food and the traditions behind it. We highly recommend this class — don’t miss this experience!

5.00The cooking course was brilliant! A wide variety of dishes were made and before we went to the market to source our ingredients. The atmosphere of the cooking course is very tranquil and we also were taken on a tour to see the homegrown ingredients! Katy our chef was amazing so helpful and informative.
