Turtlely Cool!… Departing Molokini, we’ll make one more stop and snorkel with sea turtles in a shorline destination (locations will vary, depending on conditions). These turtles, although endangered and protected, are accustomed to seeing snorkelers and do not mind being photographed as they surface for air just a few feet away.
Experience Molokini without interruption from large tour boats or over-crowded snorkel sites. Trip includes 3 hours of fun, with at least two stops. Snorkel Molokini and an additional shoreline snorkel at a turtle habitat.
During whale season, we will always stop and see some whales.
This tour goes out daily because it is a customer favorite since 1985.

We've done snorkeling tours elsewhere (on the Big Island, USVI, etc) but this was the best we've been on to date. We got to see Molokini both inside the crater and also along part of the outer wall, and then swam with the turtles south of Kihei. One of the best aspects of this tour was it was on a smaller boat, and with only two other couples. No waiting to get geared up and to get in the water. Less chance for drama with clueless guests (we didn't have any). The big boats had upwards of 25-30 guests and moored in a single location within the crater and dropped off folks centrally. Our smaller boat got up close to one end of the exposed caldera and we got to swim the entire inside length of Molokini, with our boat tagging along behind, and with the captain keeping tabs on us. Seeing the entire reef like we did is a much better snorkeling experience in my book! The smaller boat was also more maneuverable, and got us closer to the outer wall and to the turtle reef. Another positive aspect was our captain, Mikey, who was personable, humorous, informative and helpful throughout. He emphasized taking your time to see the underwater sights and to snorkel at your own pace. It was a very chill experience, with never a rushed feeling. I highly recommend this Blue Water Rafting adventure!

Do it. Worth the fast ride to Molokini under the care of Ben and Angela - great hosts. Plenty of time to snorkel around and see lots of different fish and eels and turtles. Boat wasn’t crowded and the experience was definitely worth the money

Blue water rafting company was an amazing! They showed us all the spots including the ones that the bigger boats can't get to. Really enjoyed the tour guide and how it was ALL about snorkeling. It didn't take all day or all morning it was quick and got to see everything in a considerate amount of time

Great experience with Mikey and Austin! We're really glad we did this tour and with this company. They're one of the smaller and less expensive companies, so we thought we would take a bit of hit in terms of quality, but we were more than impressed with the quality and our overall experience. Mikey and Austin deserve applause for how great they were. They are both very knowledgeable so the narration during our experience was super informative and interesting. We felt safe with them and they clearly knew what they were doing. Mikey (captain) was excellent at navigating the waters; I noticed that he would make small adjustments to the the way he navigated to make the ride as pleasant as possible. Despite being on a raft, the ride was super smooth. He also was so astute that as soon as he caught site of a group of dolphins (which everyone else missed), he slowed down and the dolphins swam next to us for a bit which was a cherry on top. Extra points to them both for having their boat out on the water and ready to go such that we were the first ones out there (= better snorkeling experience), while all the other companies were still getting their boats out onto the water. We were nervous about doing a raft rather than a boat, but the ride was wonderful and it felt like the boat was gliding on the water. In retrospect, I'm glad we did a raft rather than a boat because the boats have huge groups of people and as soon as they all start snorkeling the marine life gets scared away. We basically left Molokini as soon as the boats arrived because of that reason, so let that serve as an example. We had a bit of sea sickness (from the snorkeling since it was as soon as we got back on the boat after Molokini; not from the boat ride) and both Mikey and Austin were super sensitive, considerate, and patient toward us. They checked on us numerous times and it quickly passed, so we were able to enjoy the second snorkeling stop and rest of the trip. They also provided delicious sandwiches, cookies, and fresh fruit which made our experience that much better. Blue Water Rafting is one of the few companies that offers a shorter tour, which is great for those who don't want to give up as much of their day. This option was also very economical and BWR was certainly among the fairest prices across all the companies. We did the 3hr (2-stop) tour and we felt we got a very comprehensive snorkeling experience. We compared 10+ companies and BWR was among the top 3 rates we could find and with all of the above, the quality of their service exceeded our expectations by far.

Charlie was an awesome guide! He was professional, entertaining, and knowledgeable. He helped our group have an amazing time snorkeling in the Molokai crater, and even took us to the backside for some additional snorkeling which was awesome! It took us to a great turtle spot, we just had the most amazing experience! I highly recommend blue water rafting!

The excursion could have been better. The captain’s tone and attitude felt rude at times, especially towards us and another group. A more patient and respectful approach would have improved the experience. Not much to say about his assistant—he was mostly quiet.

It’s awesome! Smooth water, no seasickness! Water was so clear and warm! We had only 4 on the boat so it was like a charter!
