With the choice of three daily departures from Cairns, this Green Island cruise is perfect for visitors with limited time, offering a half or full day experience (up to 7 hours). You will have the choice of a glass bottom boat coral viewing tour or snorkelling equipment.
As a Great Adventures guest, you’ll also be able to enjoy many exclusive inclusions such as the use of the island swimming pool and a self guided eco island walk to discover some of the island’s unique rainforest flora. The island’s well appointed day visitor facilities include a pool bar, plus restaurant and retail outlets. What To Expect
Green Island National Park
Green Island is a beautiful 6000 year old coral cay. It's the only coral cay on the Great Barrier Reef with a rainforest! You will have a choice of snorkel equipment to snorkel from the white sandy beaches or to stay dry and see the island's reef from the glass bottom boat. Enjoy a walk through the lush rainforest.

4.00The coral at Green Island, what there is of it is bleached out. But you will have the opportunity to see several varieties of fish. I did see a black tip, shark, Manta, Ray, butterfly fish, etc. Clarissa the marine biologist does a great seminar on the area specifically about the coral and the fish that you will see in the area. The resort has a pool for you to swim in just wish they had more lounge chairs.

5.00Choose snorkelling if you can as you can get close to the underwater world. If you don’t want to get wet then the glass bottomed boat tour is the best alter4native. You also get good information from the guide. we were blessed with good weather which was great.

5.00Wonderful day exploring and enjoying Green island. The whole day was well organised from picking up tickets at the Reef terminal, organising time for glass bottomed boat and where to collect snorkelling equipment. The staff were pleasant and welcoming and at the end of the day we saw the most beautiful turtle, what more could we want. Thanks to the Quicksilver group.
