Truly an out of the world experience. The guide was super friendly, explained everything very well. Each stop had something unique to offer. Really enjoyed.

I’m not usually one for organised tours, but I chose this one to make visiting these places much easier in a single day. Kevin, our guide, was very warm and hospitable, and made everyone feel welcome. My highlight was definitely the waterfall. Jiufen is fine, but I’d really recommend wandering away from the old street and exploring the back streets and hillside to see the town at its best.

My mom and I really enjoyed this tour and our tour guide Kevin. He really looked out for us for the entire tour and we saw so many great places. He also planned everything out perfectly to where we went to places early enough to beat the crowd of another tour group. Kevin is also a really great phone photographer so definitely have him help you take pictures!!! If you’re visiting for the first time or just wanting something to do, this tour is definitely worth it!!

I was incredibly impressed with this full-day small group tour, which took us to some truly amazing spots in Taiwan. Yehliu Geopark was wonderful, and we were fortunate to have beautiful, sunny weather, which made exploring the unique rock formations an absolute delight. Next, we visited Jiufen, a truly unique and fascinating town. Our guide first took us to the famous teahouse (yes, the one you see in everyone’s photos—including mine!) and then pointed out several good lunch options. I think I chose the perfect spot: a sit-down restaurant with excellent food. After lunch, I really enjoyed exploring the narrow streets and doing some shopping. We then headed to Shifen, starting with the waterfall. A tip for future visitors: be sure to walk the trail to the spot where you can view the waterfall straight across, rather than just staying at the overlook near where the guide drops you off—it’s absolutely worth it. The highlight of the entire trip for me, though, was releasing a sky lantern. Writing our wishes in black paint with a paintbrush and then watching the lantern float into the sky was such an incredible experience. As a special bonus, a train came through just moments later, adding to the excitement. We also had time to explore the town, which made the experience even better. This is easily one of the best tours I have ever done, and I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Taiwan!

I liked the itinerary, & the tour guide, but felt rushed at multiple stops. My reluctance in booking tours was realized in this one, in that I felt I spent more time on the bus, & less time getting to see the places I wished to see. The itinerary showed one hour 10 minutes at Yehliu, including the park & Queen's head. We were provided just short of that, which was almost ample, but slightly rushed. We were supposed to be provided 2 hours in Jiufen, but were given closer to an hour 45 minutes, so felt rushed there as well. The amount of time provided for Shifen waterfall was 40 minutes according to the itinerary, which is about how much time was provided. We were supposed to be given one hour 30 minutes at Shifen Old Street, & were given only 35 minutes (or possibly 45 minutes), which was way too short an amount of time to enjoy that stop. Multiple times on this trip I ran from place to place in order to see what I wanted & enjoy the sights. I'm guessing the guide decided to shave time off each stop so we could get back to Taipei sooner, or because the weather wasn't ideal, but I wanted more time to enjoy the stops regardless of the weather, & in fact the tour lasted close to 8 hours, rather than the advertised 9 hours. I believe a partial refund is deserved due to the shortened version of the tour shown on the itinerary. Thank you.

Great guide (Kevin Su) and a good itinerary made the trip great in spite of the weather which was horrible. A full day of experiences.

This was a great itinerary for a day trip. Julie, our guide, was very experienced and made sure we saw as much as possible. Would highly recommend this trip for anyone wanting to get out of the city for a bit and experience what else this beautiful country has to offer. Shifen waterfall was particularly beautiful.

Unfortunately our guide James insisted on wearing a mask all day and I was unable to understand a word he said. A number of the people in the group complained but to no avail. The heating system on the bus wasn’t working and we had to sit with our coats on all the time as it was very cold. Because we couldn’t understand what James was saying we left without any real appreciation of what we saw during the tour.

James was friendly, sweet and caring. He does speak a little soft so hearing was a bit hard, however he answered all our questions and is very knowledgeable. Super talented to be trilingual as well. If youre not sure what to do, you smash out a lot of places and things with this tour - with admission and activities such as the lanterns paid for. I think if I were to do these destinations alone, I wouldn't have understood and gotten out much; however I came out learning a lot. It's a pretty standard package, however worth what you pay
