Bought tickets online for a family of 6. Was waiting for our assigned time to be able to go in. As it was getting closer, a lady walked by and asked if we were waiting for entrance. We said yes. She said they had closed because the elevator broke! We had been sitting there for 30 minutes and nobody had told us, or any of the other people waiting, that the elevator was broke. We were the last group for the night, so 9pm. Then, we waited in another long line for a refund. Maybe, a sorry for the inconvenience? A discount for the future? Nope, nothing. I get it. Stuff breaks. But some common courtesy would have been nice. We will be trying Tilt 360 instead.

We loved having tickets in advance for the Sears Tower. I highly recommend picking a time that’s about a half an hour before the sun sets. It’s really beautiful to get pictures when the sun is setting over the city. You do have to wait in line a bit for sky deck, pictures, but it’s totally worth the wait. There is also a really great walking museum at the bottom that you do before you go up to the tower that provides you with a full history of the skyscrapers in Chicago. If you go during the day, there are a lot of great restaurants that you can have a meal at before or after the tour.

When I went here on my birthday I had a blast! First you go through a mini museum about Chicago. There is one museum exhibit where you can sit down on a pretend green line train and it actually feels like you are moving! Then you go on the elevator and it goes really fast! There is a thing where it tells you what floor you are on and how many feet high you are. Then when you get to the top there is a gift shop, the ledge, and lots of windows where you can look outside at the view of the city. I would recommend this place if going to Chicago. It is great for big groups, small groups, and solo. Kids can go here too.

We booked through Viator, we showed up on time. They had shut the experience down due to wind! Go figure, shutting down an experience due to wind in the place called the Windy City. We went to their box office. No heads up. We were told upon arrival. The lady working the check in counter and the box office window were horribly rude. No help, no refund, no rescheduling. We were there with nothing else to do and out $175. So I contacted Viator to reschedule or refund and now I’m in a 72 hour run around. This is ridiculous. I held up my end. My family was in time and ready. We can’t control the weather either, we would gladly reschedule for tomorrow, but we are only in town 3 days. I have Walsh’s had good luck with Viator but this experience has made me think I probably will not use a 3rd party again. Bc the customer is not the main focus. We work hard for our money and I can’t just be out $175 bc wind. With no resolution.

We showed up for our designated time to be told they had shut down for the high winds. The young lady was short and had very few answers and gave little to know effort to find out anything. She sent us to the box office if we wanted to go. We walked over and the lady at that deck was just as rude and impersonal. We ask a few questions and go the answer do you want to reschedule or not? So I showed her the ticket and since it was bought through a 3rd party (Viator) They could not honor the refund or reschedule. So we are out $175 due to high winds in a city literally named the Windy City. I would suggest going to 360 Tilt bc the Skydeck care nothing about the happiness of their customers. What a sad excuse of a business to look a person in their face and tell them, they are just out of luck. In a tourist city. There is no reason to be that rude, unprofessional and completely unhelpful.

It was not really worth it they let you be on the ledge for like 90seconds and then rush you out. I definitely wouldn’t do it again save your money, maybe try Chicago 360
