Guests will paddle Florida’s black water known for its reflective properties that enhance the already natural beauty of the creek. Meandering through this wooded environment, guests can enjoy seeing the various aquatic vegetation while keeping an eye out for cypress trees, birds, and other wildlife nature has to offer in our area. We did a homeschool field trip with them. There were other homeschool families that went with us. It was so fun. They are a well oiled machine. They had vests and instructions given in under 5 minutes. They made it easy to get in and out of the water. It was extremely peaceful and they moved answering questions. Loved learning about the water and how it is drinkable if in an Emergancy due to its pH.

We did the 3 hour Cumberland Island tour and had a great time. Paddled across the channel from Amelia Island over to Cumberland Island, spent some time looking for wild horses, hunting for shells and shark teeth, and walking along the beach while our (very knowledgable) guide told us all about what we were seeing and some history of the area. While we did bring our own, there were cold water bottles waiting for us in our kayaks and snacks were offered while we were walking along the beach. On the paddle back, the wind really kicked up, making the paddle more challenging, but our guide did a great job in keeping everyone together and making sure everyone got back safely. I would not recommend this particular tour for very beginner paddlers due to the strong currents in the area (the website does very clearly state how difficult the trips are), but I 1000% recommend this company for your kayaking trip around Amelia Island alright!

This family owned business knows how to entertain. They had everything ready for you. A nicely chilled water bottle was waiting for me in the kayak and mid trip snacks. I feel so good supporting local family businesses but even better when I get a great experience and a ton of memories. They even helped get my 22 month old into a kayak with me. Can’t wait to get on the water again with Amelia Island Kayak Excursions.

If you’re nervous about kayaking with alligators but really want to see the wildlife, use this company. Our guide was comforting and very knowledgeable. He took care to address concerns and make sure the experience was exciting and engaging. I went from dreading that I booked our family to kayak in alligator territory but I ended up spotting the alligator, big mama, and was not fearful one bit. Do your vacation a favor and let them take you down Lofton Creek!

First, let me brag on how Aaron, our guide was so knowledgeable about the surrounding area. His professional attitude while we were kayaking was amazing. As a beginner kayaker, I was a little timid but that feeling left as Aaron made sure that I felt completely comfortable and that I had a fantastic time! He knew the history of the location and I learned so much from him. The kayaking tour was amazing and once we hit Cumberland Island, we had a great walking tour and history lesson of the location. The kayaking was amazing and I will be doing this again very soon!

LOVED this! There was a mix up and the staff was so helpful to accommodate us and get us in the River! We didn't have the tour guide but was given excellent instructions and could go at our own pace. Did see a few alligators and other critters. Wonderful time and wonderful company to rent kayaks from. Price was very affordable as well
