What To Expect

8.30 Pick up Hotel 9.30 Reach Fishing Village Ban Bang Phu and take Longtail Boat Please note: Sometimes there are high waves and the boat may not be able to go to Laem Sala Beach. You would then have to cross the mountain on foot which takes about 30 - 40 minutes to get to Laem Sala beach and back the same way. It is exhausting but from the mountain you have also a beautiful view. In this case, we will make an additional river boat trip on the Pranburi River. In that case our Tour Guide will discuss with you to Cancel or change the Program.
Laem Sala Beach
10.00 arrive Leam Sala Beach and walk up four hundred meters to Prayanakhorn Cave. See that beautiful cave with a Temple built inside. The sun comes in the cave from the rooftop, so it will look very beautiful. Although this is not designated as a swimming excursion, there may occasionally be an opportunity to swim after visiting the cave. This depends on the time of year, as well as the prevailing wave, water, and current conditions. As a precaution, you are welcome to bring your swimsuit.

5.00This was an exceptional tour. We saw monkeys in the trees as we began our hike. Our guide was very knowledgable about the Park and its history. She was also very enthusiastic. It was an incredible tour and I highly recommend it.

3.00The temple is stunning and unique but there are things you need to be aware of and one thing that I feel is totally unacceptable. We were picked up on time from our hotel, with my wife and I being the only ones on the tour, so had a car and guide to ourselves. The stop at a pineapple plantation is basically pulling over by the side of the road to look at a pineapple field which was interesting. Seeing the fishing boats just before we entered the national park was great, a real opportunity for some colourful photos. We then parked for the boat trip and the walk up to the temple. You need to be aware that the walk up is quite a climb, and the boat trip depending on the boatman can also require a certain level of mobility. I say this, as I guess we got unlucky. Our boatman decided to position the boat against the waves and insist we got out whilst the boat was being hit and rocked violently by the waves. Guess what, myself and the guide ended up being thrown back into the boat whilst trying to get out, myself hurting my back. We manage to make it to shore on the second attempt! We found out later that a number of guides had previously had problems with this boat. The climb in the heat requires a level of fitness and water. Be warned make sure you have plenty of water and trainers on. Do not attempt with flip flops. The tour description said water would be provided, I do not think one bottle of water for 7 hours is acceptable! Luckily we took some with us because you will need plenty if it's hot. Once you arrive, the temple is an amazing sight and worth the climb. The descent is much easier and you have lunch and beach time awaiting you. We were glad we made the trip, just be aware you need a reasonable level of fitness, suitable footwear and take additional water. This is not a cheap tour and I think providing more than one bottle of water should be expected.

5.00It was an exceptional experience. Everything ran very smoothly and our guide B was absolutely brilliant. The boat crossing was superb and even though the trek was hard in the heat the cave and temple were well worth it! Stunning! After our trek back a swim stop and lunch was just what we needed. Food was delicious. We also stopped to see pineapples growing and looked at the process. I would definitel recommend this trip.

4.00We really enjoyed the visit to the cave. The climb was tough, but not unexpected. However, it would’ve been nice to know that you should bring a swimming suit and towel so you can enjoy the beach after the climb. The description needs to be improved to say that you need good shoes and explain exactly what to bring. The driver was surprised that we had not brought a swimming suit and we told him it was didn’t say to bring one. However, our driver, Noom, was fantastic! He was very knowledgeable about the area and could answer all of the questions we asked and his English was fantastic too.

5.00This was the most amazing experience! Sam is a phenomenal tour guide. He is very knowledgeable and it is apparent that he loves what he does. He took so much care in explaining each area and had interesting facts about each place. The climb through the mountain and decent to the cave was challenging indeed! But, as a tourist that we passed explained, “the final view was worth every step!” This sight is breathtaking!

5.00We had a wonderful trip, made all the more special by our guide, Nong. From discovering baby pineapples (who knew?) to visiting the fishing village, and then heading up to Phraya Nakhon Cave, every part of the day was memorable. The climb was slow going, but absolutely worth it — the cave was truly stunning. We finished the day with a riverside meal and a cold beer, which was the perfect ending. A very special thank you to Nong, who took such great care of Bonnie. We can’t thank him enough for his kindness and patience.

5.00If you go between October to December it is very likely the boat won’t be operating due to rough seas but the 3hr roundtrip walk (steep rocky hills up and down) was worth it seeing the temple in the cave which only has directly sunlight on it between 10:30am - 12:30pm. (Only between Oct and December) Must be fit to be able to access this tour even if the boat was operating. The pineapple plantation is just an area on side of the road showing you where pineapples are grown.

5.00We had a lovely Tour visiting the National Park and discovering the beautiful cave. Bell was an awesome guide explaining us everything we wanted to know. We had all the time we needed, to walk around and explore. I have to say the cave was just breathtakingly beautiful and I would highly recommend a visit if you are physically in a good shape, since there will be a bit of hike involved, but it's definitely worth it. Thanks a lot Bell for the nice day.
