Old Quebec
As the only fortified city in North America, Quebec City has a history of more than 400 years. We will discover Quebec City from many different angles such as politics, military, history, heritage, architecture and so much more. In old Quebec City, we will explore the Petit Champlain, a neighborhood in Quebec City. In fact, it is the oldest district in North America with famous attractions such as Rue du Petit Champlain mural and Breakneck Stairs. Particularly, the Cathedral-Basilica of Notre-Dame de Québec is known as the oldest church in the Americas. Its long history and close relation with the New France makes it one of the most important national historic site for all of Canada. In addition, Château Frontenac was designed by American architect Bruce Price. It is constructed under the requirement of the Canadian Pacific Railway Company (CPR) and accounts for one of the series castle-style hotel buildings and so much more to see.

It was great experience.. well planned by wonder travels .. the amount of trip was very reasonable for a one day trip.. unfortunately my wife lost her engagement ring on the trip while playing in the snow .. and the guide helped us with trying to find it .. we weren’t able to find but they were really helpful.

Today, Saturday, January 17, 2026, I participated in the excursion "Quebec City and Montmorency Falls for a day" with TakeTours Tourisme Montréal, and the experience was simply excellent! Our guide, Jacques, was exceptional from start to finish; he showed remarkable professionalism and kindness. He described each stage of the tour in detail, sharing historical information and cultural curiosities in a captivating and clear way. Throughout the visit, Jacques was very attentive, making sure that everyone felt comfortable and fully enjoyed the excursion. The visit to Quebec City and the impressive Montmorency Falls was wonderful, and part of this success is due to Jacques' dedication and enthusiasm. I highly recommend this tour and, above all, its guiding services.

Our tour with this agency was great! We got to stop by the “Ice Hotel”, Motmorency Falls and Quebec City. Jack, our tour guide, was able to get me, my girlfriend and our group of around 20 people to see all these wonderful sights in the span of a whole day. Jack was friendly and knowledgeable, even recommended ing this restaurant called Cochon Dingue which was very good. Overall I’d highly recommend this tour for anyone who wants to spend the day checking out really cool landmarks.

We joint the tour with a friend in Jan 2026. The day was very full and we visited three places: the ice hotel, the waterfall and the old Quebec City. Left Montreal City at 7am and return just before 8:30pm. What a wonderful day! I’would love to spend more time at Quebec City next time if I visit again. Our guide Jack, was professional, fun, knowledgeable, and caring. Contacted us the day before and made sure everyone stick to schedule so everyone had a smooth day. Highly recommended.

This excursion can be done by yourself in FlixBus, especially considering the price. In addition, a “service charge” not specified at the time of purchase was asked on site by the guide: $20 per person, or $40 in total, supposedly to allow for their remuneration. This fee does not include gratuities. The quality of the explanations was very disappointing, with poor French and English, and little added value compared to a self-driving trip. On the other hand, the bus driver was excellent, professional and very pleasant, she was clearly the one who would have deserved that $20, which unfortunately will probably not go to her. I do not recommend this activity unless you have no expectations in terms of explanations or content.
