YehLiu Geopark

Yehliu is a cape on Taiwan’s northern coast best known for Yehliu Geopark, where sea erosion has shaped honeycomb and mushroom rocks such as the iconic Queen’s Head and Dragon’s Head. The area is mostly flat but offers little shade, so sun protection is advised during summer.

Shifen Waterfall

Shifen Waterfall is Taiwan’s most famous cascade, fed by the Keelung River, and measures about 20 meters (66 feet) high and 40 meters (131 feet) wide. Reaching the viewing platform takes about a 30-minute walk, partly shaded and crossing a suspension bridge.

Highly recommend this must do if you’re travelling to Taiwan, it’s the most private, comfortable & efficient way to see so many places. Cody (our tour guide) was so friendly, warm, and considerate - he took lots of wonderful pictures for us and took great care of us including making sure we had umbrellas in case it rained, and taking us to an awesome bubble tea spot (because I wanted bubble tea!). He also customised our itinerary to suit the weather and our preferences. Cody really made the experience extra enjoyable and would highly recommend to anyone visiting Taiwan especially for the first time.

Chiao was great! Perfect balance of sites, culture, history and nature. Bring cash for many of the shops don’t accept credit cards.

Paul our guide, took good care of us and he made sure we mafe the most of out tour. He is well informed and provided us history about each place we visited. He also took photos for us. Was a truly wonderful day.

We had a great guide, Nicolas Ying, for the whole day trip. All the places we chose were very interesting, the trip went as planned and was very educational. The food recommendations were very good. The guide was a very good communicator.

We had an amazing tour with our guide, Paul! He easily accommodated our last minute request to visit Houtong in lieu of visiting Shifen and we had such a great time. He took us to all the best spots for photos and general viewing and had the best stories to share (there was a lot of laughter!), as well as plenty of fascinating facts and history about the areas we visited. It was a great way to really learn more about Taiwan and see some incredible sights, and Paul also made sure to point out some great food along the way (we had a delicious mango drink at Yehliu that we might not have noticed that I am still thinking about). He also took us to a great spot for lunch in Jiufen with a truly gorgeous view that I know we wouldn't have been able to experience without Paul as our guide! Everything felt so organized and I was really impressed at the time efficiency--I thought visiting these spots would be a longer day, but we were on track and had plenty of time in each location. This was my first private tour and it has definitely encouraged me to try more--and we'll definitely book with Yolo Taiwan when we visit again!
