What To Expect
Temple of the Emerald Buddha (Wat Phra Kaew)
The Emerald Buddha image, the most important Buddha image in Thailand is enshrined inside the ordination hall of the temple. The Emerald Buddha image wasn't cast from Emerald but was cast from high quality of green jade. We found the Buddha image in 1432. You come to Thailand, you should go and pray for your luck.
The Grand Palace
The Grand Palace was constructed together with the founding of Bangkok in 1782 when King Rama 1 ascended to the throne and founded a new dynasty. The Grand Palace is very important as it used to be the palladium of the state. It was used for both the royal residence and the administrative center of the country in the government system of absolute monarchy. Today, the palace is used just for ceremonials. The architectural plan of this palace was almost identical in every detail to the Grand Palace of the former capital of Ayutthaya (about 600 years ago) because the King wanted to recreate the glory of the city as it was in the past. So it was completely first built in traditional Thai style. However, at various periods, the influences from other nations affect to the architecture in Thailand in different reigns such as the Chinese elements introduced by King Rama 3 in the early 19th century and the western building style introduced by King Rama 5 in the late 19th century.

5.00It was an amazing day. Wat Arun is so beautiful. Reclining Buddha at Wat Pho is so cool. And the Royal Palace and Temple are unbelievable. The buildings are so colorful and the detail is so intricate. Don’t miss green Buddha. Highly recommend the private tour. Our guide, Som, is very knowledgeable and does a great job telling the history of Thailand as we toured the sites. It was our second day with her and driver Mr One. Ask for them…they are both great. Also, be sure to get dropped at the canal for boat ride to see the Big Buddha.

5.00Tip , the tour guide was excellent - I was traveling with my older parents ( in their 70's and 80's ) who had some minor mobility issues and she was excellent at coordinating their movements and making sure we got to see all the sites while also providing adequate rest for my parents. Noc, the tour operator was very prompt in her communications with me. The car/Van provided was first rate and extremely comfortable. Thank you for an excellent private tour.
