On a hot summer's day, one of the best things to do in Palm Springs is to take a ride from the dry desert floor with the Aerial Tramway, 5,873 feet up into the cool climate of the San Jacinto Mountains. Come and ascend into a pristine wilderness aboard the world's largest rotating tramcars! Truly one of the greatest experiences in Southern California!

Please present voucher to the ticket office. Tickets will be timed for the next available tram car as a first come first serve basis.
The Tramway is subject to delays and periodic shutdowns due to unforeseen circumstances and is not responsible for ticket refunds or the inability to redeem a voucher
Tramway cars hold 80 people each and there are no seats. Passengers remain standing throughout the journey up the mountain
Distance is approximately 12,800 feet, with a vertical ascent of 5,873 feet - 15 minutes travel time one way
The tramway is known as a double reversible type of aerial tramway. Each car remains on one pair of track cables moving up and down without turning around. Each car serves as a counter balance to the other, the descending car is helping pull the ascending car up the mountain
Strollers are permitted on this tour
During holiday periods, you may experience long lines. We recommend you travel outside of these peak times to fully enjoy everything the tramway and mountain have to offer.
There is parking in 13 paved lots near Valley Station. There is free shuttle service from parking lots to Valley Station entrance available weekends and holiday periods

5.00Remember that it is cold at the top! Trams leave every fifteen minutes so the wait time is not bad. Lots of trails to hike at the top. Restaurant is expensive but the cafe is reasonable.

2.00Bought our tickets online, drove to the park, redeemed our voucher and they gave us a timed entrance ticket in return. We had to wait 3.5 hours for our time. What was suppose to be a lovely afternoon in the sunshine never happened. We caught the end of sunset. 5 hours (the drive up, waiting for the bus, waiting for the tickets, waiting for our timed entrance) of our afternoon were wasted waiting for 30 mins of scenic views. Fresh snow and Sunday afternoon make for a busy environment.

1.00I was under the impression I was getting advance tickets for the tram and all they were were vouchers. We still had to wait in line for 45 mins and got a time 3 hours later. Do not buy from this site.

1.00We never got to ride the tram. Don’t use Viator. Go directly to the tram site to buy tickets. Viator sells you a voucher with no time indicated on the voucher. You have to wait hours to ride. DO NOT USE Viator. And they refused to refund the money I paid for the vouchers.

1.00DO NOT BOOK WITH VIATOR!! They do not give you a time to go, and if you book with the site itself they will give you a time. When we got there, we had a 3-hour and 45-minute wait. If we had simply booked through the aerial tramway site itself, we likely would have been up within half an hour or less. This is the second time I've had a a that experience with Viator. I will not be using this site to book anything else, unless it is completely necessary.
