We had a fabulous tour with our driver Caio. As we drove we were given the history of each area. Caio also pointed out where various authors, singers etc had lived, and showed us the houses that were used in some of the more popular movies and television series. I would definitely recommend this tour company!

This tour is the perfect way to see the city’s highlights, especially if you’re on a tight schedule. Our guide, Caio, was incredibly informative, personable, and made us feel right at home. As a solo traveller I also appreciated that Caio offered to take a photo for me at some of the sites. Huge props to his driving skills—navigating SF’s famous hills in a charming retro bus is no small feat, and he handled it like a pro! I’m so glad I got to see so much of the city in such a short amount of time. I only had a day in San Fran and this was such a great way to see the key sites and understand the cultural history. Highly recommend for anyone wanting a unique, stress-free adventure!

The trip was very enjoyable and I highly recommend it to everyone. The bus was nice and comfortable, and the tour guide was kind, helpful, and friendly. Make sure to bring some cash for tipping.

It was Phenomenal, Jack??, I believe that is him, Ohio native, he's be in SF over 40 years I think, but he did an awesome job, very detailed in history, culture and he was hilarious, made us laugh, and learn about SF. So thanks Jack for doing such an awesome job, gave my wife and I a wonderful experience, and we appreciate him so very much. He even shared where he an his wife got married.

Friends had enjoyed this tour when they visited and recommended it. I’m so glad they did. Caio did a great job of showing us around his adopted city. We saw and learned a lot about the San Fran in a fun and laid back way. Communication with Painted Ladies Tour Company was excellent, including them providing great recommendations to us for a breakfast spot and sights to explore on foot ahead of our afternoon tour. Well done. Thanks for sharing your city with us.

We met Jack and his VW Combi, Poppy, who took us on a tour of The Bay for 2 hours and boy did we learn a lot! It was super fun being in the bright Combi (especially with the rainy weather outside) - what a treat! We saw lots of cool places like Hyde Street Studios, City Hall (where Joe DiMaggio and Marilyn Monroe were married and films like Dirty Harry were filmed), the painted ladies, where the Grateful Dead lived, where Janice Joplin lived, the Full House row of houses, the Mrs Doubtfire house, Billionaires Row, the Palace of Fine Arts, the Golden Gate Bridge, drove down Lombard St, went to Little Italy, Chinatown and saw Ross Ave (where fortune cookies are made by hand). It was a great activity to do with the kids and Jack was so knowledgeable - we learnt so much about the history of this beautiful city. Highly recommend! Thanks Jack and Poppy! 🌼

Great way to see most of the key sights of SF in a cute VW Kombi that gives a nod to the flower power chapter of the city’s past. We drove up streets other tours cannot access including down Lombard. Jack is a local and was an excellent knowledgeable and friendly guide.

Highly recommend this tour. Jack was an excellent guide with deep local knowledge and a great way of explaining the history behind the Painted Ladies and the surrounding neighborhood. The tour was informative, fun, and well organized. Definitely worth doing.
