National Revolutionary Martyrs' Shrine

The National Revolutionary Martyrs’ Shrine, dedicated to Taiwan’s fallen heroes, is a solemn landmark built in 1969 and perched on verdant slopes overlooking the Keelung River, right next to the Grand Hotel. The shrine spans a vast area and features grand architecture inspired by traditional Chinese palaces. With its sweeping red roofs, white walls, ornate gates, and design reminiscent of Beijing’s Taihe Dian Imperial Palace, it stands as a striking symbol of the martyrs’ brave spirit.
