What To Expect
Sainte-Mere-Eglise
Discover Sainte-Mère-Église, a town in Normandy, was one of the first liberated during the D-Day invasion on June 6, 1944. U.S. 82nd Airborne Division paratroopers landed in the area, some unintentionally dropping into the town itself. A famous event involved paratrooper John Steele, whose parachute snagged on the church steeple; he pretended to be dead before escaping German capture. After fierce fighting, the Allies secured the town by morning. Today, Sainte-Mère-Église symbolizes D-Day bravery, with tributes like a parachute on the church and museums honoring the liberation.
Omaha Beach
Head to Omaha Beach and pass through 8 kms of the coast of facing the English Channel. At the shore, you will find a sculpture called Les Braves ‘The Braves’ in honor of the soldiers who fought the war. A nearby museum can be optionally visited.

5.00Went from Honfleur to Normandy US sites. Driver only no guide but Gianni was on time, very professional and helped guide us through our options and keep us on track to see everything we wanted to include and get us back to our cruise line right on time.

5.00The most memorable points of interest were Pointe du Hoc and the American Cemetery. We also visited Gold Beach, Arromanches, the Overlord Museum and Bayeux, It was all very special. Sunny made sure we got to experience what we wanted and she and Mo were very considerate of our time and making sure we had a great experience….which we did.
