Historic Savannah Theatre
When people reach Chippewa Square, they usually feel like something’s missing from the iconic landmark. Known by locals and tourists alike as the “Forrest Gump” square, Chippewa Square doesn’t actually have a bench like in the movie, but it’s certainly famous nonetheless! Just a stone’s throw from the famous-yet-benchless square is the Savannah Theatre, which opened in 1818. This theatre is the oldest one in the country and still produces shows nightly

Trolley tour is a great way to view the city! I have taken the tour prior and had such a great experience. I was excited to share with my friend but sadly didn’t have the same level of experience. Our driver was hard to understand and didn’t seem to care about the information he was sharing. It felt highly scripted with unimportant details, unlikely previous tour guide who talked about secret gardens and Savannah history with a passion. Our operator pointed out obvious statements like “that yellow house was built in 1843 and it has a plaque that says 1843. This blue house was built in 1821 and has a plaque that says 1821”. Savannah is such a special city with unique historical stories that deserve to be told by someone who enjoys their job. Plus we paid $70 ish for 2 people. Tour was under scheduled time, felt like I greatly overpaid.

This was a great tour! Our driver and guide, Eddie did an excellent job and provided so much information about the city of Savannah including history as well as current life in Savannah (restaurants, etc). In a very nice way, Eddie made sure that all the passengers respected each other and kept their talking to a minimum so we could all hear him and enjoy the tour. There was a large group on our trolley so that was much appreciated! Highly recommend.

It was relaxing and very informative. We enjoyed our guide. His name was Bear. It was a great tour because we were only here for two days.

The ride was smooth. We went on a 10am- highly recommend if you want to beat the heat a bit. It goes kind of fast in terms of visiting historic points. And though the history is good, some “wow” points could’ve taken this above and beyond. The history lesson didn’t feel “exclusive” if that makes sense. But it was really nice and relaxing. A good ride to see the busier areas without having to walk or seek parking

This is a great way to see a lot of Savannah in a short amount of time. We wanted to see as much as we could in about 2 hours and this was perfect. Parking was easy in the trolley lot. Checking in was a little confusing and we were told to wait in a building (with refreshments that weren’t there?) but not told when to board the trolley. Butch was a fantastic guide and made the tour fun. We saw so many great sites and took a lot of pictures from the trolley. Our teens seemed to enjoy it too. Thanks Butch!

Tammy, with a T, was the best tour guide! She was quite informative and full of humor. Savannah is full of great history, interesting architecture, and beautiful landscape. We learned so much about the city and got some great tips for additional places to explore, dine, and try local specialties.

It was a nice enjoyable ride around historic Savannah. I think I would have chosen the ride and drop version had I realized there was one because we flew in and did not rent a car. Very informative and comfortable

Tour guide spoke incredibly fast with a very strong southern accent which made him virtually unintelligible.plus he never stopped or slowed down at historic sites even though he ended the tour after one hour and twenty minutes a disappointing tour
