What To Expect
Look up, just at the corner of Rue Saint-Michel and Rue Saint-Épvre. You see those two little statues hugged? Despite the name of the house, they are not mermaids but two bearded newts. This sculpted detail gave its name to the House of the Two Mermaids, a Inn built in 1586 for Raymond Luyton, valet of the future Duke Henry II of Lorraine.
