• Great day despite the weather

  Qasim was our guide for the day. He suggested a change in pick up time to an earlier time to beat the traffic and it was a great idea. We seemed to beat the crowds at each stop. The weather was not kind, raining all day and no visability of Mt Fuji but Qasim altered the itinerary to suit the weather. All in all a great day.

  We call driver at 9:00 a hour late and he told us he was not coming , to call viator and they couldn’t get us other driver soon enough. So very frustrating with the hole thing. Lost a haft a day!

  Upfront - we didn't actually go on the tour in the end as we cancelled a fully paid booking. I had contacted the operator 27 days ago and have sent 6 messages on the Tripadvisor link and on Whatsapp and to date - zero responses! I had asked if we could be dropped off in Hakone (allowing for time for the driver to get back to Tokyo in the 10 hour window) as we have booked to stay there. A private driver seemed a lot easier than trains and luggage etc. Well, it isn't if they never answer you. Based on some recent reviews and our experience, I got very nervous that we would be wasting our money and possibly left stranded. I have now booked with another operator who responded professionally and helpfully within a couple of hours.

  Today we had a terrible experience with above planned tour which was booked under Booking Reference #: 1364984179 and paid for this tour in advance. Date suppose to be (today) 29.03.2026 Yesterday we had contacted the activity provider and confirmed everything by the evening. He asked us to be there at hotel lobby by 6.00 am. So we had everything ready by the given time. We were waiting more than one hour no response from activity provider. No body showed up. Waiting more than one hour someone contacted us and asked to wait more, so we were waiting again, after that no clear communication provided how long we have to wait, After waiting more than 2 and 1/2 hrs they wanted to reschedule the tour for tomorrow which is highly not practical as we are tourists in Japan, we have other scheduled activities to do. This was highly unprofessional and Terrible experience. They wasted our valuable time and money. We are utterly disappointed with this tour experience and requesting for a full refund of the payment which we have done in advance. Its a total waste of our valuable time in another country which we have planned for a limited days.

  Very good trip amazing tour guide Dev! Very knowledgeable and knows where the best spots to see Mount Fuji are!! Would highly recommend to anyone especially with family’s he even bought some snacks and drinks along for the trip! Would give 6 stars if we could!!!

  

  

  

  

  

• Pressured reviews and rash driving...

  Faiq was our driver and while we went to good spots and he was flexible, I have to be honest about a few points. Pros: is mostly kind and very flexible Cons: 1. rash driving including honking and rushing unnecessarily and swerving once or twice during the drive. 2. Before driving is home, Faiq asked all of us to leave 5 stars and send him screenshots. This felt very pressured and forced. 3. Faiq was not too great of a tour guide, but he did drive us to some good locations and mentioned a few facts along the way at the stops but did not walk with us for the first pagoda 4. For an English speaking service, his English is understandable 60% of the time. Ultimately I would not recommend this service unless major changes are made. We selected the service because we got a good deal but I think it's better to pay more and look elsewhere. Pressuring people to leave good reviews feels like a hostage situation and thereby cannot be recommended...

• Get a Japanese driver. The driver we had was from another country and had no knowledge and was not very pleasant.

  Booking was easy. Got a phone call on WhatsApp night before tour from a Japanese number which can only have been for the tour. I then received a call from a Pakistani number to advise that he was our driver. It seems like the tour had been “ outsourced”. We were staying in Shinjuku. The driver asked if we could meet early to avoid traffic which was fine. We were ready on time but the driver couldn’t find entrance to the hotel. He was quite frustrated by the time we found each other. He did not introduce himself just turned and walked back to the car without a word and started driving. He asked after about half an hour where we wanted to go. English seemed limited. He did ask if we wanted to stop for coffee which was nice. Essentially there was little information given or communication the entire trip. There was no conversation on the way back and when dropped back to the hotel we got out and he drove off without a word. It made the day a bit tense and less enjoyable. No local information imparted. Would not recommend to future travellers if you are expecting more than just transport. To be honest we would have been better off taking a train and spending $60 instead of $448.

  It was a great experience. Today’s tour was amazing—my guide was incredible. He took me to the main spots around Mount Fuji and made each place come alive through storytelling. It felt so much more than just sightseeing—truly an unforgettable experience.
