Mount Batur
Mount Batur (Gunung Batur) is an active volcano located at the center of two concentric calderas north west of Mount Agung on the island of Bali, Indonesia. The south east side of the larger 10×13 km caldera contains a caldera lake. The inner 7.5-kilometer-wide caldera, which was formed during emplacement of the Bali (or Ubud) ignimbrite, has been dated at about 23,670 and 28,500 years ago

5.00I recently did a jeep tour + sunrise trekking, and it honestly exceeded my expectations. Watching the sunrise was absolutely magical — one of those quiet, “pause and take it all in” kind of moments. We also explored the black lava area, visited a beautiful floating temple, and ended the trip soaking in a hot spring… which was the perfect way to relax after the trek. What really made the experience even better was the guide. Super helpful, friendly, and just easy to be around — they made everything feel smooth, safe, and fun from start to finish. If you’re looking for a mix of adventure + relaxation in one trip, this is definitely worth it 💛
