3.00The tour was okay but didn’t really get much of a sunrise (it was rainy season and cloudy - so I probably wouldn’t book in rainy season again). I also forgot it would be cold at the mountain, and it’s not mentioned to wear warm clothes which I think should have been. The breakfast included was also very basic.. for the price of the tour I thought it should be a bit better. Was an average experience… the black lava was a bit boring.

5.00We Were picked up straight from our hotel and our driver was on time so we didnt have to wait. Our driver made our journey to Mount Batur comfortable and he was very friendly. And the base of Mount Batur we met our jeep driver who took us safely up the mountain to watch the sunrise. Breakfast was banana on bread, a boiled egg, and a chocolate wafer, so pack extra food if you get peckish. The hot chocolate was super sweet. It was quite cool but our driver gave us a blanket. Toilet facilities are not that great so be prepared. After the sunrise we took photos at the “Black Lava” remnants from the volcano eruptions in 1963 and 2000. Thank you to our driver YOGA GANTENG and RADEN BODO for taking photos of us and looking after us on the mountain.
