Mount Agung is Bali’s highest and holiest mountain as it is believed as the home of God. It is located in Karangasem Regency, Bali, Indonesia. Mount Agung Bali stands 3,142 meters above sea level and can be summitted by physically fit hikers about 3 to 4 hours from Pasar Agung Temple starting point and 5 to 7 hours from Besakih Temple starting point. If you want to be a challenger adventure tourist who thinks that trekking or climbing is spectacular.

What To Expect
Mount Agung
Mount Agung is the highest peak in Bali, standing at over 3,000 meters (9,800 feet) above sea level. The trek is physically demanding and requires a good level of fitness. It's steeper and more difficult than Mount Batur, requiring stamina and determination to reach the summit. Climbing Mount Agung usually requires a permit, and it's recommended to go with a local guide for safety and navigation, as the trail can be challenging to follow, especially in the dark. Guides are also knowledgeable about the mountain and its cultural significance. From the summit, trekkers are rewarded with panoramic views of Bali and the surrounding islands, including Mount Rinjani on Lombok, on clear days. The sight of the crater and the surrounding landscape is awe-inspiring and makes the challenging ascent worthwhile.

He is very kind, always smiling, and took great care of us throughout the entire journey. Beyond being an excellent guide, Juna is a truly good person. 5.00This was absolutely incredible, I have never had an experience like this. I will say this is very physically demanding, it is challenging and you will want some level of fitness prior. But its so worth it when you push through for the views at the top. Expect about 5 hours just to get to the summit with breaks along the way. Have warm clothes for the top. And thankyou to our driver Nyoman for a smooth organised transportation, and our guide Juna who was very thoughtful and kind. He stayed close, advised of the safest routes, provided snacks, warm tea and coffee at the summit, his English was good and a great sense of humour.

5.00I had an amazing experience hiking Mount Agung with Juna. He was patient, encouraging, and very attentive throughout the climb. The descent was pretty intimidating for me, but Juna guided me carefully the whole way and I didn’t even fall once! 😅 Highly recommend Juna if you’re planning to hike Mount Agung!
