We booked a Molokini Crater snorkeling tour specifically for that destination. However, we were only informed onboard that we wouldn’t be going due to weather. Instead, we were only taken to Turtle Town—a location easily accessible by car. Advance communication would have been appreciated. The crew’s handling of the situation made things worse. They were clearly aware of the rough conditions, yet some passengers—including us—were left standing on the return trip as waves crashed over the deck. We were soaked and struggling to keep our balance, yet at that moment we were handed a tip board and asked for written feedback. That felt extremely inconsiderate. On top of that, as we approached shore, we were told to sit on wet seats on the deck due to shoreline regulations. Apparently, everyone is supposed to be seated. The photographer Joe took nice pictures! But FYI they charge $45 per digital photo. Please don’t respond with a generic, copy-paste reply—I’m not interested in an insincere response.

Boat is crowded, but the crew was so nice and delivered good snorkeling and turtles! Breakfast and lunch provided with the package, catered from Whole Foods.

The crew was extremely friendly and helpful. We were looking enough to make it to Molakini and to see turtles in McKenna Bay. Overall, a great experience.

The wind was too strong for Molokini Crater so we went to the Coral Gardens and Olowalu for snorkeling, but honestly it was still amazing. We saw so many sea turtles and other beautiful sea creatures. The water was calm and warm in those protected spots, making it such a memorable experience. So grateful there was a photographer to capture all of the moments. It was worth paying for her photo package so we could just enjoy the experience. Captain Carlos did a great job for us!

We were in Maui for a day on a cruise and wanted to experience snorkeling in Hawaii. Unfortunately, the weather wasn’t cooperating which we understand is out of everyones control. However, the staff did not make the best of the situation. Captain Carlos seemed like he wanted to be anywhere but driving the boat. There was extremely minimal storytelling on our hour long trip to and from the snorkel spot. The boat was over crowded without enough room for everyone. We weren’t able to snorkel at Molokini Crater, but the snorkeling wave conditions were so awful at Turtle Cove that the captain strongly advised we don’t snorkel, but then was upset when everyone sat on the boat instead of snorkeling. We should have left the spot early and had a partial refund on our snorkel. The ocean conditions on the way back were horrendous and almost all snorkels got soaked from the waves (going back to an over packed boat without enough seats for everyone). We understand that the weather is out of the staffs control, however as a family, we felt that the staff could have done a MUCH better job making the best of the situation. The friendliest person on the entire boat was the photographer who was actually a 3rd party person not affiliated with the snorkeling company. Extremely disappointed in the experience. And, at the very end right before docking the boat, we were handed black folder and told a ‘suggested’ tip of 20% per person.

A little bummed that we didn’t get to go to Molokini, due to bad weather, but the crew made the experience very fun. They took us to Turtle Town for some fun snorkeling and fed everyone. Ended up chatting with Ashley and Violeta for most of the way back and got some great restaurant recommendations.

Captain, crew and photographer were very accommodating. Breakfast and lunch provided were delicious. We went to both Molokai crater as well as turtle town, snorkeling and our whole family liked the turtles the best. They accommodated all levels with noodles and additional flotation devices so that everyone was comfortable in the water. Highly recommend! It was a great adventure.

The company did a great job accommodating us on a snorkel tour in the inclement conditions. We were able to get out and snorkel and as an added bonus we saw whales!!
