Lower Antelope Canyon is one the most exquisitely photographed attractions in the Page Lake Powell area. Many visitors prefer the Lower Antelope Canyon to the Upper because it is less crowded, has light throughout, is longer, and offers great variety. Visitors get the experience narrow slots an ladder access into some of the sandstone craved shoots an holes formed by the force of runoff into the Antelope Wash from the mesas above.

Lower Antelope Canyon
Tour Departure Point: Lower Antelope Canyon Indn Route 222 Page, AZ, 86040 Antelope Canyon Tours departs every 1/2 hour a quarter after and a quarter till the hour, the tour is a 1.5 hours waling tour and climbing down some ladders is involved. Please wear comfortable shoes for this 600 meter trip. Lower Antelope Canyon Tours has smaller group sizes and the guide stays with you during the entire tour, sharing information about the geology, history, and Navajo Traditional ways. The Lower Antelope Canyon tends to be less crowded than the Upper Antelope Canyon and is preferred by many because of its narrow canyon walls and ladders that take you to the levels that have been carved by flash floods from the upper mesas. The sandstone walls are exquisitely formed, and the Lower Antelope Canyon offers a longer canyon exploration.

Our tour guide, Elijah, was excellent! He shared his knowledge of the Navajo Nation and interesting facts about the canyon. He gave great suggestions for photos as well! It was busy but we didn’t feel rushed. The canyon is beautiful and definitely worth going to do.

Special experience with quite a few Wow moments. Everything went smoothly due to our guide, Kennedy, who was very attentive with the whole group, answering questions and offering photography tips. A* Highly recommended!

This is a fantastic tour. The views inside the slot canyon are breathtaking. Bring a water bottle and camera only. Easy walking with a few ladders, but not good if you have any mobility issues. We had Tracy as our guide. She was so friendly, helped with camera settings, took photos of people in the canyon all while giving us stories and history of the canyon & Navaho. Outside she gave a great demo on how the canyon was created. Just a fabulous experience. I would do this again in a heartbeat.

We had the best time doing the lower antelope canyon tour. Caleb, our guide was great! Although there were other groups on tour you didn’t really run into them, they have it down pat.

This was the best thing we did on our trip to the Page area! Our tour guide Paul was amazing, professional, friendly, shared info on the canyon and culture, took pics for us, helped us all set our cameras to the best settings to capture the canyon in all its glory! Highly recommend, worth the money! Bring cash to tip your guide! We did a kayak and hike tour as well through a different vendor, and we were glad we did both. This part of the canyon is so beautiful and completely unique, very different from the part of the canyon accessed from the water. Some things to note that I had wondered about in advance: Check in is at a beautiful, air conditioned, highly organized building, there are many Porta Potties outside. The canyon is a short walk away from where you check in. Not being able to have a daypack was a bit inconvenient since it would have be nice to have hands free going down the stairs (although Paul offered to hold my water bottle so I could use both hands!) The tour was about an hour and 20 minutes, most of it in the shade except the first and last 10 minutes, I don’t think it was worth the hassle of carrying my water bottle around. Having shorts with pockets for my phone would have been smart. Enjoy this magical place!

The lower Antelope canyon trail / tour is short ... but can be a bit trecherous for some. There are steep stairs, tight spots and unlevel ground. We loved it and the scenery was breath-taking. Just preparing you. A must see and our guide was very informative.
