Lower Antelope Canyon is one the most exquisitely photographed attractions in the Page Lake Powell area. Many visitors prefer the Lower Antelope Canyon to the Upper because it is less crowded, has light throughout, is longer, and offers great variety. Visitors get the experience narrow slots an ladder access into some of the sandstone craved shoots an holes formed by the force of runoff into the Antelope Wash from the mesas above.

What To Expect
Lower Antelope Canyon
Tour Departure Point: Lower Antelope Canyon Indn Route 222 Page, AZ, 86040 Antelope Canyon Tours departs every 1/2 hour a quarter after and a quarter till the hour, the tour is a 1.5 hours waling tour and climbing down some ladders is involved. Please wear comfortable shoes for this 600 meter trip. Lower Antelope Canyon Tours has smaller group sizes and the guide stays with you during the entire tour, sharing information about the geology, history, and Navajo Traditional ways. The Lower Antelope Canyon tends to be less crowded than the Upper Antelope Canyon and is preferred by many because of its narrow canyon walls and ladders that take you to the levels that have been carved by flash floods from the upper mesas. The sandstone walls are exquisitely formed, and the Lower Antelope Canyon offers a longer canyon exploration.

5.00Easy walk but got crowded at times with the amount of tours they have. Mr. Yellowhair is an excellent tour guide, teaching us tricks with our phone camera to get the best shots and taking pics of everyone at really neat points. We came to one spot where he sang in his native language as it echoed off the canyon walls.

5.00Honestly it was such an amazing experience from start to finish. Our tour guide Armando was so helpful with photos down to the perfect shots to take. We went around 2:10pm and the light was still perfect throughout the entire canyon.

4.00Our tour was really lovely and our guide was awesome but we booked on line and our ticket did not give us the correct information of who our booking was with so we went to 2 incorrect venues before we managed to find the correct location which resulted in us missing our allocated slot. A bit frustrating but thankfully the staff at the correct venue were really helpful and slotted us in to the next tour. The Canyon was a truly spectacular experience it was a shame that we experienced confusion with which tour guide we had actually booked with. Perhaps this could be looked into and rectified for future guests?
