What To Expect
Get a convenient pickup service by songtaew (a passenger vehicle in Thailand) from your hotel on Koh Lanta along the main road between Saladan and Kantiang Bay. Start the course with a welcome drink and get useful cooking instructions from the Thai chef with many years of experience. Learn how to cook healthy and delicious Thai food with a practical hands-on approach to surprise your family and friends at home as a gourmet souvenir from Thailand. Two classes per day are held in a spacious teak-wood house just inland in the south of Phra Ae Beach (also known as Long Beach), and many of the vegetables and spices are sourced from an on-site organic garden. Midday and evening classes last for 4 hours. The group will collaboratively choose 4 dishes from the available selections which change for each course. The menus offer a good mix of salads, soups, stir fries, noodle dishes and curries made from hand-made pastes, plus enjoy a feast of your own making at the end of the class! All dishes can be made vegetarian per request, please let us know upon booking.

5.00We had a fabulous experience with Lanta Thai Cookery. Prim was super responsive via email and I spoke with her on the phone to confirm our spot for the next day. We were picked up and dropped off at our hotel. I went with my husband and 12-year old daughter, who cooked two of the four dishes. I highly recommend the massaman curry - we all loved it. We also loved the spring rolls, papaya salad and sweet and sour chicken. Our instructor was fanstastic. She was friendly, kind, knowledgeable and fun. Everything ran smoothly and this is a “don’t miss” if you are on Ko Lanta. Outstanding!

5.00Fantastic experience. The Instructors were fun and professional and the course was well laid out with the Group of (10) collectively selecting (4) dishes to cook. The support staff was fantastic with clearing the dirty cookware and providing the prep for each meal omce the previous meal was finished. Great location, upstairs on a covered balcony allowing for fresh air and a warm breeze. Loved it thanks to all. Lastly the cook book is fantastic.

4.00The Instructor was kind and informative. She showed us, and explained to us the ingredients to what we were going to create. She then cooked up the dish we were going to make for us to try before we cooked it. I liked how we cut up/prepped all the dishes we were making all at once in seperate baskets. At times, it was challenging to hear her.
