As the Jungfraujoch is covered in snow all year round, we recommend bringing a warm jacket, shoes with a solid rubber sole and sun glasses to experience all indoor and outdoor attractions. Please note that there is no possibility to rent clothes or shoes on top of the Jungfraujoch.
Routing and means of transport may have to be amended during maintenance work and depending on seasonal schedules without prior notice. A minimum stay of 2 hours on the top of Jungfraujoch is always guaranteed.
Recommendations by Jungfrau Railways to enjoy the stay at high altitude: 1) You should be physically fit and healthy. 2) Good footwear is important for getting around safely. 3) Not recommended for pregnant women from the 7th month or with high-risk pregnancies, and for children under 2 years due to difficulties equalising pressure and insufficient fluid intake.

No way to deny it, it's a long and tiring day. However, trust me on this, it's totally worth it. I saw some of the most beautiful scenery I have ever seen. This was my second tour with Best of Switzerland and both went off without a hitch. Our tour guides, Bjorn and Angela, were terrific.

Perfectly done!!!! The tour operators had everything set. They clearly communicated meeting times and expectations for the tour group. We had a storm roll in and it was blizzard conditions at the site, but that made it so cool!! Got to have lunch at a restaurant that was over 12,000 feet above sea level, and the fondue was over the top!!! Just a wonderful experience!!!

This tour was incredibly well organised from start to finish. Everything ran smoothly, we were always on time, and communication was excellent throughout. Gonzalo was a fantastic guide friendly, knowledgeable, and made the whole experience easy and enjoyable. Visiting the Swiss Alps was one of the most breathtaking experiences I’ve ever had. It’s absolutely worth the price and I would strongly recommend this tour.

“A day trip to Maiden's Peak on Best of Switzerland Tours today was a perfect experience! • Guides Weili and Milton: Very professional and funny, not only knowing the history and culture of Switzerland, but also reminding us of the best photo booths at key points, taking care of each visitor's needs. • Driver: The driving skills are very smooth and we feel at ease driving through complex mountain roads. • Schedule: The whole trip was perfectly well connected and efficient, with neither a sense of urgency nor a sufficient guarantee of time for our excursion at the top of the mountain. Highly recommended to friends who want to go to Maiden Peak, it's worth the money!"

This is a well organised and well guided tour, but you really need to be careful and plan around the weather. For us there was rain all day, which turned to snow the higher we got in altitude. For this reason I would say that you should only book this if you are relatively sure the weather will be nice; appreciate that is easier said than done, but it makes a huge difference. As it was raining, the bus journey was glum as there wasn't much to see out of the wet window, and the stop in Interlaken was a bit depressing as I trudged through the puddled pavement in town. One thing to note - there are some nice watch shops there, so take your passport if you want to take advantage of the tax free options. The Eiger cable car was super cool, but again we saw very little as the visibility was poor with the rain/snow. Had there been sun and blue sky, I dare say it would have been spectacular. Same went for the Sphinx Observatory - with the terrible weather it was a total white-out the higher we went, sand going outside was a feat of endurance with the wind and snow. There is an interesting museum within, and the ice palace is novel, but I would either take food with you, or eat well before you get there as the lunch food options were a bit limited. The train back down would also have been wonderful had we had some bright sky, as the train has a super wide window to look through, and there is so much to look at. All in all, disappointing for me, but had the weather been nice it would have been lovely. While we were waiting for our train I looked on the ticket machine and worked out that the trains we took for the day would have been over 180 CHF so the cost of the tour is actually very good considering there is also coach service to/from Zurich and the guides giving help and explanation for everything.

An amazing walk through the mountains until you arrive at Jungfraujoch. Just wonderful. Attention if accompanied by children and the elderly. Look for guidance as altitude can cause discomfort. Get ready, it’s amazing and unforgettable! Wonderful!!!
