5.00Makoto is a great, gentle guide and very well english speaking. She drove me around the island whereever I wanted to go. Since I don't know this beautifull I let her decide. We visited a lot of amazing spots during a sunny day with a slight breeze. Will never forget this day!

5.00We booked the "Ishigaki Island Private Tour by English Native Speaker", and it was hands-down the highlight of our Okinawa trip. With limited time on the island (cruise stop), we wanted a flexible, no-stress way to see the best spots without driving ourselves or joining a big group—this private tour nailed it perfectly. Our guide (shoutout to Makoto) was incredible: fluent English speaker with deep local knowledge (She is Japonese a big plus ! ), super friendly, patient, and great at photography. She customized the itinerary based on our interests—stunning scenery, nature, culture, and epic photo ops—and even took professional-level pictures of us throughout the day. The private vehicle was comfortable, air-conditioned, and made hopping between spots effortless. We have seen many places, from breathtaking turquoise waters and black pearls of Kabira Bay (such a postcard-perfect spot), headed to the dramatic cliffs and panoramic ocean vistas at Oganzaki Lighthouse, explored the traditional thatched-roof houses and cultural exhibits at Ishigaki Yaima Village (learned so much about Yaeyama life and seen squirel monkeys), a beautiful garden (ishigaki jima Science garden) and squeezed in time at scenic viewpoints and hidden gems like craft centers ( ishigaki yaki potery), quiet beaches and also ishigaki city for a special souvenir request (Manga books). Everything was well-paced, relaxed, and full of insider stories. The tour felt like exploring with knowledgeable friends—fun, informative, and zero hassle with pickup/drop-off from our port. We saw way more beauty than we expected in just a day, and the photos came out stunning thanks to their tips. If you're visiting Ishigaki and want a personalized, high-quality private experience with excellent English guidance, this tour is an absolute must. Huge thanks to Makoto—you made our Ishigaki memories unforgettable!

5.00Some days you will just remember, this was one of them. Hidden locations, stunning gardens, unique experiences, and quiet moments whilst seeing the best of the island and getting your orientation of Ishigaki. Could not recommend more as a great way to have a private tour, tailored for the things you enjoy, while seeing the best the island has to offer.

5.00Makoto was a wonderful tour guide! She was so sweet and gave us so much information about Ishigaki. Since this was a private tour, she was very amenable to fulfilling our requests. We had lots of fun with her. We loved that she took pictures of us on her good camera and will be sending them to us. I highly recommend her as a tour guide

5.00We were 2 couples and the weather was colder than usual and the rain held off! Our guide Taran met us as planned at the cruise terminal and was easy to communicate with via WhatsApp. We did not snorkel, as the weather was not cooperative. We saw all the items on our list. Taran was informative and is a UK native married to a Japanese gal. They are photographers and guides. He took multiple pictures of us on the trip and sent them to us later that day. He brings a unique perspective as a young man in his 30's having married a Japanese gal. We highly recommend him.

5.00Our group of seven had a wonderful experience on this beautiful island. Taran was an outstanding guide—attentive, organized, and exceptionally accommodating for a group of our size. He even arranged separate return trips to the cruise ship so some of us could continue shopping downtown. Although we ran past the scheduled time, Taran remained gracious and flexible throughout. He exceeded our expectations, and I highly recommend both him and this tour.
