Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary
Guests will snorkel and kayak in the protected waters of the Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary, exploring shallow seagrass beds, coral heads, and quiet mangrove islands. Our crew will lead you through calm, winding channels where you’ll learn about this unique backcountry ecosystem—home to rays, tropical fish, small sharks, sport fish, and the occasional sea turtle. Overhead, keep an eye out for birds like herons, egrets, ospreys, and pelicans that thrive in the mangroves. No kayaking experience? No problem. Our stable sea kayaks are easy to handle, and our crew will have you paddling like a pro in no time.
Key West
The trip begins with a sail through Key West Harbor, where you’ll get a front-row view of the island’s colorful past and present. From the water, you’ll see historic landmarks, working shrimp boats, luxury yachts, and the charming mix of old and new that defines the Key West waterfront. As we cruise along the coastline, our crew will share stories about the island’s rich history—from its days as a bustling port town to its reputation as a haven for artists, pirates, and presidents alike.

We enjoyed the sail to the snorkeling, followed by kayaking into a mangrove swamp. Wine and beer are available after swimming because it’s always after 5 o’clock in Key West!

We did the half day evening excursion. Unfortunately this day, the winds were stronger So they didn’t raise the sails for long (would have made getting to the snorkeling area to fast) and we didn’t get to kayak around the entire mangrove, but these are things not under their control. Besides that, the trip was relaxing. Saw lots of spiny lobster and fish. While kayaking near the mangrove, we saw a small nurse shark and sea turtle. On the way back, there were low clouds so the sun was obscured as it dropped below the horizon but the full moon raising certainly made up for it All in all, we had a nice time and I would do it again. Although I understand there is an all-day trip which goes to the coral reef which I think would be even better

Took the sunset half day snorkel/kayak. Crew (Micah, Mo, Kylie, Cathy) was incredibly friendly and professional. Provided great information on the wildlife and history. Always checking in to make sure you didn’t need anything,

Trevor, Cohen, Anthony and Micah were fun, friendly, and very knowledgeable - they made the trip very chill. The trip out was a great mix of motoring and sailing, the food was healthy and fresh and there was plenty of beer and wine for when we were done kayaking and snorkeling. The day was windy and visibility for snorkeling was low, but we saw a bumch of sea turtles that visited while kayaking the mangroves, amd a dolphin while sailing. There is no better way to see the sunset than on the water - Anthony got some great family photos for us. We went with teen/pre-teen kids and it was perfect. Highly recommend- and specifically the PM tour so you can get the sunset.

So much fun! The crew took care of us really well, with drinks and snacks, but still have breakfast before you go on board. This was truly my favorite part of my trip to Key West!

Enjoyed the kayaking. Lots of interesting birds. Loved seeing a large sea turtle! I would like liked to do the larger mangroves. Liked snorkeling and seeing sponges. Wind prevented seeing much else. Good crew!
