A whirlwind tour you can fit in a day. Great variety of venues and landscapes and a nice cross section of the local culture. Our guide, Sean was exceptional! He had great English speaking and comprehension, so he didn’t just recite a script. He could speak knowledgeably and answer questions on a broad range of topics. A great day!

Chiao-chiao was our guide and driver. She was affable and hospitable and showed us the countryside around Shifen (and the obligatory lantern launch) as well as some of the beautiful NW coast of Taiwan near Jiufen. We went on a Tuesday, and I’d recommend hitting both towns on an off day and not a weekend. As it was, Shifen was getting quite busy and Jiufen was packed by early afternoon. If I went back, I’d try to arrange to do a hike outside of town to take advantage of mountain and sea views.

Vincent was our tour guide and he was fantastic. He made our day super fun! He showed us great spots and was so helpful. My son was on crutches/wheelchair due to an injury and Vincent was so accommodating and helpful. He really cares about his clients! We HIGHLY recommend. I would definitely book him again for another trip. Thanks for a great day.

Despite the terrible weather we had a great time and really enjoyed our trip. We appreciated Vincent’s careful driving and comfortable car. He was very helpful in his recommendations for lunch and the purchase of some tea . The trip felt about the right amount of time and we enjoyed seeing more of Taiwan.

What a wonderful and memorable day we had! Tony picked us up right from our hotel and kept in touch beforehand so we knew exactly when he’d arrive. He’s truly three in one — an excellent tour guide, a talented photographer, and a safe, reliable driver. We were able to see everything on the itinerary, and the waterfalls were absolutely beautiful. Tony made sure to drop us off as close as possible to each attraction, which made everything so easy and enjoyable. At Shifen, he arranged the purchase of our lanterns so we didn’t have to worry about where to go or what to buy — that thoughtful touch let us simply enjoy the moment. Tony was also very perceptive. He noticed that a small, out-of-the-way memorial in Jiufen might be meaningful for us, and even though it wasn’t part of the planned itinerary, he made sure we had the chance to visit it. One of the things we really wanted to try was stinky tofu, and Tony knew just the perfect spot for us — it was delicious! At the end of the trip, he even gave us an SD card with all the photos he had taken throughout the day. Since we’re not great at remembering to take pictures ourselves, that was such a thoughtful bonus. We enjoyed every part of the tour and everything Tony shared, but what made the day truly special were the conversations we had with him — about Taiwan’s history, its incredible development over the past fifty years since I was last here, and what life in Taiwan is like today. It was an unforgettable experience, and we can’t recommend Tony highly enough!

Me and my mom had so much fun. Nicolas is very knowledgable and recommended good places. He also took good pictures and made sure my mom is safe. He customized our itinerary to suit my mom’s need who has difficulty walking and had chosen the easier route. Will definitely recommend!
