It was a great experience feeding the elephants and watching them free. I hope the rescue Center can continue rescuing more elephants.

This was a wonderful experience. The facility was well run, the staff was efficient and friendly and the elephants were treated with love and respect. We had lots of opportunities to observe and interact with the elephants and extra activities like preparing snacks for them and hosing them down. The lunch was delicious and the video is very much appreciated. This tour exceeded all our expectations. Thank you for a wonderful time!

I booked this experience through my hotel and pickup / drop off was seamless, they come to each hotel and then take you to the relevant excursion. When I arrived with my group for the excursion relevant to us, the staff at the sanctuary warmly greeted us and sat us down in a seating area in the shade offering drinks. We were then told the itinerary for the day, asked to wash our hands before starting to get to know the backstory of each elephant (including where they came from. how long they’ve been at the sanctuary and different personality traits) with the do’s and don’ts. We started making food for the elephants with a little tutorial of what to do and why before beginning to make nutritious balls and pumpkin seed mini balls (which we would later sling shot into the jungle to help with future growth of food for the elephants). Got to know that elephants eat 20 hours and only sleep for 4! We then got into a line in an area where the elephants arrived and started feeding them the nutritious balls and some extra snacks like sugar cane and bananas which the elephants loved - though you must not stop and play with the food otherwise they can get angry but thankfully that was well explained during our induction. Once feeding time was over, the team at the sanctuary led us into the jungle where we got to see the elephants naturally roaming around and feeding on what they could find - thankfully during this time the staff provided hydration and traditional sun hats or umbrellas for anyone to use to protect against the beating sunlight - it was a very hot day! We got to see the elephants feeding on pineapple which they loved and an elephant soaking in some mud water. We finally did the sling shot pumpkin seed mini balls into the open area before finally heading back into the reception for some vegetarian lunch! Overall this was a great experience and the staff were very informative, helpful and friendly! They were very clear on how to handle the elephants and were always on hand to help anyone with anything including photo opportunities! They care for the elephants really well well and want to build the first clinic so defo worth the experience! Couldn’t recommend enough!!

The Elephant Home in Ko Samui is wonderful place to visit. All of the elephants have been rescued and receive the best of care. Each has its own caregiver. This is a truly remarkable rescue facility and I learned so much about the plight of many elephants.

What an amazing experience we had at the elephant home sanctuary. We were warmly greeted and given information on the rescued elephants with an explanation of each of their histories. We got up close to the elephants when we fed them food treats we had prepared and also in the plantation where they roam freely. All the while a video of our visit was being made and there were plenty of photo opportunities with the elephants. It’s clear that the staff running the sanctuary really have the best interests of the elephants at heart. A vegetarian lunch and drinks were provided to round off a really fantastic visit. Not to be missed.
