The Grand Canyon Rim Hike is one of the best hikes in Yellowstone National Park. This hiking tour is a loop. Your tour guide will watch for bears and answer your questions along the way.
Not only do we hike along the Rim of the Canyon, but also through the forest to lakes, mud pots, and meadows.
Your guide knows the trail and trail junctions, where many hikers get confused. Your guide also knows the good spots to stop for photos, resting, and lunch with a view.

Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone
Your expert guide will meet you at the Pavilion next to the Upper Falls Parking Area at 8AM. The hike is a 4 to 6-mile loop. The hike is along the Canyon Rim, then through the endless pine forest out to Ribbon Lake. After that, we pass a thermal basin, Clear Lake, and the Hayden Valley. If you hike one trail in Yellowstone this should be it!
Upper Falls
We begin our hike seeing the Yellowstone's Upper Falls. This is the beginning of the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone River.

We had a great time!!! Even though it rained pretty hard and then hailed! We did not see any wild life but the canyon was amazing

This Yellowstone Canyon Rim Guides hike was fantastic. It was exactly what we hoped it would be - exploring Yellowstone away from the crowds. Ron was a knowledgeable & fun guide. He was very attentive to our hiking abilities, things we were interested in seeing & the safety of our surroundings. The lunch & snacks that were provided were very satisfying. There was a bit of confusion in the meet up for the hike but a phone call to Yellowstone Hiking Guides helped us meet up with Ron. We would highly recommend a guided hike to see Yellowstone beyond the tourist hot spots.

We had a great experience on this tour! Our guide, Bob, was incredibly knowledgeable, experienced, and well-prepared. He has encyclopedia-like knowledge of the park, trees, flowers, animals and geothermal features. And provided a lot of helpful information about how to stay safe in the park. The hike was perfect - extremely scenic, enough of a workout without being too strenuous to enjoy, and involving a variety of beautiful landscapes in different parts of the park. It was the right length from 8am to 2pm. We left tired and satisfied! Highly recommend.

This hike was great! Our guide Michelle was very knowledgeable and told us lots of facts about canyons, geology, hydrothermal features, and plants. Lunch was hearty and a good chance to take a break and enjoy the nice views in the middle of the trip.

Wow! We could not be more impressed with this trip. Our guide Michele made this an unforgettable experience for the 2 of us. She brought bag lunches full of great snacks and delicious sandwiches and even carried them in her pack since we did not have a pack with us. She regularly checked in on how we were doing with the pace and reviewed the trail maps with us to decide which trails we wanted to take. If the other guides are as great as Michele this is a fantastic opportunity to experience Yellowstone hiking with a knowledgeable guide.

Great and informative hike. We were able to traverse the varied Yellowstone terrains all in one seven mile adventure. Fortunately, we had a great guide: Ron. Somehow he managed to keep our group (which ranged from age 69 to 32) engaged and moving!
