Visiting some water temples and mountain temple of Batukaru to experience the most beautiful temples in Bali. You will also stop at the widest rice terraces in Bali called Jatiluwih which has been acknowledged as the world cultural heritage by UNESCO.

What To Expect

Ulun Danu Bratan

The drive will go to the first temple called Ulun Danu Temple. The driving will be around 2 hours from the main tourist area. It is a temple floating on the famous lake of Beratan. It is a very important temple of water to worship the Balinese water, lake and river goddess Dewi Danu, due to the importance of Lake Beratan as a main source irrigation in central Bali.

Jatiluwih Green Land

Next, we drive around 40 to 60 minute to Stop at the widest rice terraces in Bali called Jatiluwih which has been acknowledged from UNESCO as part of the world’s cultural heritage in maintaining the local culture of irrigation system called Subak.

This was a great tour, we saw some important UNESCO sites that were off the beaten path. Our driver Krisda did a great job telling us about Bali culture and the significance of the sites. We enjoyed his company and appreciated all the photos he took of us. Krisda is the best

I took this tour prior to starting a group tour of Indonesia that did not include any of these sites that were on the must see places to visit in Bali. And boy was I glad I did! Gus Kumara was my guide/driver/photographer and he was great, made me feel safe on those narrow Balines roads, all arrangements were flawless, ready to answer all of my questions. I learned A LOT from him about the Balines society and family life, his English was very good and nice all around. I highly recommend him. Thank you Gus!
