This is a fantastic experience from start to finish. We got picked up at the Port on time and were taken to the sanctuary. After an introduction and safety brief, we were taken out and allowed to feed the elephants their breakfast. Amazing standing beside the elephants and seeing them up close. Each animal has a member of staff watching and helping you.....at no time did we ever feel unsafe. Next was making elephant poo parchment paper. 😂. It is not as gross as it sounds. After this, we got changed and headed up to the mud pit and pool. It was an incredible experience rubbing mud over them before we heading into the pool area. These animals were amazing and gentle with us. After washing them, we were guided to the showers where we could wash and change into clean dry clothing we brought. The sanctuary then gave us lunch. Wow. The food was amazing and so tasty. I would have been delighted to have it served to me at a restaurant it was sooooooo good. Right on time, our minibus collected us for a return journey to the port. I was looking forward to this visit for months before our cruise and I was not disappointed. The staff are doing a fantastic job rescuing elephants that are being harmed and educating locals in the animals welfare. Don't hesitate to visit the centre as it was a humbling experience at an extremely worthwhile cause. Thank you EJS for fantastic memories.

On 23/01 I was able to do this extraordinary experience. At 6:30 a minivan picked me up and my friend from the hotel, took us to the elephant sanctuary with other people, we were greeted very warmly, there were sweet and savory snacks, coffee and tea, then they gave us various indications on the behavior to keep during activities with elephants to which we fed bananas and watermelon and rice balls, bananas, salt, tamarind (and another thing that I think he said was protein), prepared by us; we created sheets of paper with their "pupu", we applied the mud both on them and on ourselves, we washed them, brushed and after taking a shower, the staff prepared us a really great lunch!! All the while a photographer was following us to capture every moment (the photos, within 2.3 days you will find them in your email). We had so much fun, more than I expected!!! All the staff guys are really very nice, kind and helpful!! They also gave us a wonderful canvas bag!! Back at the hotel we felt like regenerated, relaxed. It is an experience I would highly recommend to anyone in this place.

We absolutely loved the elephants and everyone at the elephant sanctuary! I highly recommend this, we did the half day morning program. It was such a joy to serve and take care of the elephants for a day. Feeding them, making them vitamins, giving a mud bath and showering them. You can tell that they truly loved the attention!

We did the 90 minute bath and feed experience at Elephant Jungle Sanctuary in Pattaya today. It was fantastic. The guides were friendly, informative and funny. They gave us lots of information and were on hand to answer any questions. The elephants are obviously very well cared for and happy. The whole experience was fabulous and I would recommend this to anyone. We had plenty of time to feed and bathe the elephants and you could get as hands on as you wanted to. I know there are other elephant experiences nearby but they offer elephant rides which is not ethical and totally against what Elephant Jungle Sanctuary stand for. As we live in Thailand (English expat family), we will definitely come again when we have visitors. 10 out of 10. Thank you for a great day!

Honest review— (solo traveler) it was an absolute incredible experience! No locks, no chains, no animal rides… just caring for the animals. We spent about 50 mins feeding and interacting with the elephants, and 25 in the water. Endless fruit available to feed the elephants, coverups to use while bathing the elephants, and very knowledgeable guides. Pros: Pick up/drop off at your hotel Small groups Private bathrooms with showers Photographer capturing hundreds of free photos Complimentary snacks and drinks At the time— about 8 elephants (1 rescued from logging, the rest are from riding operations) *unexpected: gift at the end Cons: None

Myself and a friend went to feed and bathe with the elephants. It was a great experience. Very informative and wonderful to spend time up close to such lovely animals. They have a photographer onsite who takes photo's while you're in the water with the elephants. He took several of myself and my friend. They say they will post them online afterwards but sadly this didn't happen which was such a shame. That was the only negative thing about the visit. If you go, get someone in your party to take your own photo's when you're in the water.
