This was our first time dog sledding, and it was a really great experience! We came prepared for cold, but we were provided hand warmers and swapped out some gear for warmer ones that Rod's provided, like boots, mittens, and neck gaiters. We did the 1 hour tour, and it was a great length of time because we were able to pause and switch our seats, ride while standing on the back of the sled, and also take some pictures. If you are sitting on the bottom of the sled, just watch out for branches at eye level that might hit your face. Kristen was our musher, and she was very knowledgeable. It was amazing to learn about how well she trains, raises, and cares for her dogs. They were also very friendly, and we got a chance to meet them. It was very cool to see their personalities and how they work together as a team. This was an incredible experience. We had so much fun, and it was definitely a highlight of our trip! Thank you, Kristen!

We had an incredible dog sledding and mushing experience in Alaska! Our guide Kristen Eckwright was knowledgeable, friendly, and clearly passionate about the dogs and the sport. The dogs were amazing! They were well cared for, energetic, and clearly loved what they do. Gliding through the snowy Alaskan landscape was peaceful, exciting, and truly unforgettable. We also appreciated learning about mushing and getting to interact with the dogs, which made the experience even more special. This was such a fun and memorable experience for my partner and I, and we would absolutely recommend this to anyone visiting Alaska. It’s a must-do adventure!

Liked that you could arrange transportation. Vicky who was the musher and who took us for the drive on the sled was amazing. Loved the confidence with which she handled her dogs. The dogs were adorable!! Vanessa who helped us with the winter gear was a sweetheart. Christian, our driver to and from the activity was awesome as well. All in all would give this a 5 upon 5 stars and would love to do this activity again soon.
