We had a fun time on the tour . The hummer car experience felt like the Indiana jones ride. Super fun! Our tour guide, Andrew, was not only informative but also funny. If you’re going to take a tour while on the island , I think this is the one you should take . Definitely request Andrew.

Amazing one hour tour with a very lovely guide Lora! She even had two stops at the most scenic views and took perfect pictures on everyone at the bus! Really recommend to do first thing when you arrive if you haven’t been here before!

Laura was such a great tour guide and made us all smile and laugh. It was the first thing we did once we got off the ferry, and it was a great start to the trip! Very nice way to see the area and find out about in an hour.

We are so glad we took the tour of Avalon when we first arrived so we could decide what we wanted to see and do while we were here and learn about some of the history. We were driven up to the top of the island where the Wrigley Home, Memorial, and Botanical Gardens are. ( We later came back on our own and toured the gardens, and enjoyed the view from the top). We saw where the Chicago Cubs held their spring training camp and where they stayed while they were on the island, loved hearing the legendary tale of Old Ben - the friendly California sea lion who visited Avalon regularly and happily greeted the tourists. There is a statue of Ben in a little park on the waterfront. We heard about the Zane Grey Pueblo Hotel and the property that his family still owns on the island, saw the shops, fountains, the Catalina Casino that is actually a theatre with a circular ballroom, the unique personal residences like the one built to look like a boat, and so much more. This relatively inexpensive tour is definitely worth making time for in your schedule while you are visiting Catalina Island!

The 2 hour Bison tour is a must! I have us plenty of opportunity to get to know the Catalina Island history. We were also lucky enough to see quite a few Bison too! Our tour guide was phenomenal!!!

The driver was very humorous and the tour was entertaining. We learned a lot, and the views were gorgeous. Gave us plenty of chances for good photos! I recommend as a first activity when you get to the island, it covers the history and landmarks of the island while also providing a relaxing ride around.
