What To Expect
Cosmos Mystery Area
The mystery house located within the Cosmos of the Black Hills was discovered in 1952 by two college students who were looking for the perfect place to build a summer cabin. Here, the laws of logic and physics seem to be turned upside down as you feel a slight unbalance in this crooked old cabin. Admission includes a 30 minute guided, interactive tour where you will be amazed as you see water run uphill, can stand on a wall, and see other incredible optical illusions. The tour consists of various demonstrations that are designed to boggle the mind. Located just minutes from Rapid City and Mount Rushmore, The Cosmos is sure to astonish and amaze the mind.

5.00This was such a fun place. It was worth the admission fee. My kids had so much fun! I would recommend this activity. The girl that helped with the geodes really was so nice and interacted well with the kids. My son said, " She must really like her job" and "she was so nice to help us". The tour guide was very knowledgeable and made some cute jokes for the crowd.

5.00This was our 4th visit to the Cosmos and we enjoyed it as much as the first time. Our tour guide, Trig, did a fantastic job of making it very entertaining. Our grandchildren really enjoyed the entire experience. Definitely something to check out if you're in the area.

4.00This science defying mystery tour lasts 30 minutes for $10, ok price. Kids and teens would really like it. As a couple we enjoyed it too, our guide Trig was super funny. Not a must see, but on a rainy day it was a great add on to our trip.
